IF SHE ONLY SAID THESE reasons a few months ago, I would've cared and done everything to punish those people who said cruel things... but it was too late now.
Too late for me to care.
I let go of Rain's embrace and found the courage to look at Elimae. "This is bullshit..." Then I turned to Rain. "Let's go, my love?" I offered my hand, smiling softly.
A lone tear fell from her cheek. She slowly nodded then took my hand.
I held her hand gently while we walked away. The disrespect was loud and I no longer wanted to stay and suffer from it.
"Ren!" Zius called.
I stopped and looked at him.
He threw his car key to me. He was smiling and nodding.
I caught the keys and smiled. "Thanks, Zius." Then we kept walking until we reached the car.
I immediately drove... somewhere far away from there.
It felt liberating, euphoric.
After more than ten minutes of driving, I parked the car at the side of the road. It was dark, the road leading toward the mountains, and no one else was driving around.
I unbuckled my seatbelt then looked at Rain. "How are you feeling?"
She did the same. "I'm fine. I should be the one asking you that..."
"I'm happy..." I began. "Thank you for having my back." I caressed her face then kissed her.
Then she pulled away. "I was scared for a second there..."
My brows furrowed. "Why were you scared?"
She sighed. "I didn't trust you enough," she sobbed then laughed. "Silly me thought you were going to choose her since you already know her reasons."
I immediately shook my head, wiped her tears, then kissed her lips. "That thought never crossed my mind." Then I kissed her again. "It was a relief to know it wasn't my fault."
I kissed her deeper.
"Hmm..."
Rain couldn't reply, because I wouldn't let go of her lips. I was craving her. All of her. I pulled away, reclined the seat, then unbuttoned my pants.
"Come here..." I said while holding myself. I thought she was going to sit on my lap, but no.
She moved, then positioned herself between my legs to take me into her mouth.
I moaned when her lips wrapped around me. I closed my eyes, letting the pleasure pull me under.
She choked, but it didn't stop her. She was enjoying it. She was so good.
"You'll get tired..." I said between moans. "Come here. Ride it."
She licked me one last time before stopping. She started taking off her clothes.
I was impatient, so I kissed her while she slipped out of what was left.
After we finished, I brought Rain to the hotel where her cousins were staying. She wasn't comfortable sleeping at Lilac's house, and I didn't want her to force herself either.
The next day, I woke up early and went to the house to check if the "For Sale" sign had already been put on the gate.
When I arrived, I stayed outside and stepped out of the car. I just stared at the house. I didn't want to go inside anymore.
I remembered the times when Jarzaiah and Archer stayed in this house when we came home from Switzerland. It felt like that time was so long ago because of everything that happened.
