Author's Note: Hey, everyone! This fanfiction is based on an alternate version of "The Fosters" and "Good Trouble." P.S. There will be a lot of music involved in this. I do not own any characters from "The Fosters" or "Good Trouble." Hope you like it! *Set in between seasons 3 and 4 of "Good Trouble."

Mariana woke up after a long night at the Coterie. She glanced to the other side of the room, only to find her sister Callie's bed empty. Confused, she got out of bed and started wondering where Callie had gone. It was a Saturday, and due to the pandemic, Callie had been working from home. Mariana couldn't help but wonder where her sister had disappeared to. She made herself some coffee and finally spotted Callie sharing a cup with Malika.

Callie: "Hey, you finally up?" (while drinking coffee)

Mariana: "Oh my God, you scared me! Why didn't you tell me you were waking up early? I thought you had left or something."

Callie: "Nah, I just went for a run, so I decided not to wake you."

Mariana: *"You went for a run?"

Callie: Yeah, is that so bad? I needed to clear my head, that's all.

Mariana noticed Davia making breakfast for herself.

Davia: Hey, morning, Mariana.

Mariana: Morning. Hey, does Callie seem off to you?

Davia: No, why?

Mariana: Well, she told me she woke up early this morning to go for a run.

Davia: So?

Mariana: We've lived here for almost two years now. When have you ever seen Callie work out? I mean, she's never been the sporty type.

Davia: Yeah, you have a point. Maybe she's just... I don't know. Everyone does weird stuff all the time. Anyway, I'm going to get this coffee for Gael and Dennis.

Mariana then noticed Callie acting all weird and suspicious, hiding in a corner to take phone calls. She glanced at Malika, who was sitting on the couch.

Mariana: What's up with Callie?

Malika: What do you mean?

Mariana: Well, first she lied to me about waking up early, and now she's being all secretive and hiding in a corner to take calls. It seems a bit sketchy, don't you think?

Malika: No, I don't think it's sketchy. Maybe it's just one of her clients or something. I mean, she has been working on some pretty interesting cases lately. Look, why don't you just talk to her and see what's going on? I mean, she's your sister.

Mariana: Okay.

Mariana, with a cup of coffee in her hand, walked over to Callie to ask her what was going on. But before she could approach Callie, her sister came out with a very serious look on her face.

Mariana: Callie, there you are. Why are you acting so weird? What's going on with you?

Callie: Look, I wasn't supposed to say anything, but I know you, and you can't keep a secret, so... I might as well show you instead of telling you.

Mariana: Okay.

Callie then dragged Mariana onto the couch at the Coterie.

Callie: Sit here and close your eyes.

Mariana: What? Why?

Callie: Just humor me.

Mariana: Okay, okay!

Mariana closed her eyes and sat, waiting for the signal.

Callie: Okay, you ready?

Mariana: Yeah, I'm ready.

Callie: Open.

Mariana opened her eyes and gasped when she saw what Callie had been hiding.

Mariana: OMG!!! Jesus!! Emma, what are you guys doing here?

Mariana ran up and hugged them.

Emma: Well, we wanted to surprise you. We knew you were having a bit of a rough time, and we were going to visit anyway, so we asked Callie to help us surprise you.

Mariana: Aww, you guys are so sweet!

Emma: Plus, Jesus has been bugging me for months to come and see you.

Jesus: Yeah, we really missed you, and we wanted to come and visit.

Mariana: Yeah, right, Jesus. When you come to visit me, you always have something up your sleeve, right? Now, what is it? Hahaha.

Jesus: Wow, thanks! But yeah, you're right!

Emma: Okay, I'm actually here because I'm here to pick out my wedding dress, and I need my maid of honor.

Callie: (cough, cough)

Emma: Looking at Callie briefly—"and bridesmaid, of course, to come and help me pick the perfect dress.

Jesus: And I'm going to meet up with a client for my latest project, then I'm going to meet you guys after.

Mariana: Okay, cool. But seriously, hasn't your wedding been postponed twice?

Emma: Yeah, but we told you it's on the 22nd of June.

Mariana: So, are you guys really sure it's going to push through?

Jesus: Well, yeah, because now no more masks, and everything is opening up after all the lockdowns. So yeah, I guess we're getting married this year.

Mariana: Okay, then. So, Emma, where are we going dress shopping?

Emma: Don't worry; you'll find out later. So, you and Callie go get dressed, and we'll meet you outside.

Mariana and Callie walked to their room to get changed.

Callie: So, are you mad at me for hiding the reunion?

Mariana: Dude, of course not! In fact, I love that you did that for me. I'm happy I get to see them again. I really missed them.

While they were getting ready, Callie asked Mariana a question that would change her life forever.

Callie: So... who are you taking to the wedding? Evan?

Mariana: Who are you taking, Jaime or Gael?

Callie: Wow, answering a question with a question...

Mariana: Fine, you caught me! Hey, I was just asking.

Callie: I'm taking Jaime, okay? Look, even if we're kind of fighting at the moment, we promised Jesus we would go together way before they postponed their first wedding date.

Mariana: Oh, okay.

Callie: Now, who are you taking? Evan?

Mariana: I don't know. I mean, Evan isn't the type of guy you bring to a wedding, you know?

Callie: But he's your boyfriend?

Mariana: Yeah, he is, but I don't see him bonding with moms or with Jesus anytime soon.

Callie, doing her makeup while Mariana is curling her hair:

Callie: So, what? You're just going to break up with him and take someone else as a date?

Mariana: Yeah, maybe. I don't know. I'll figure it out, and then I'll tell you.

Mariana and Callie finished getting ready and met with Jesus and Emma outside to start going dress and tux shopping.
