"Y/n? Is that you?"

You whipped around, searching for the one who had spoken. Instantly you were met with the sight of your uncle's old friend.

Aizawa dropped the bag of cat food he was carrying with a thud. After all his searching, you were just here? In a convenience store, looking so dejected and alone, staring at the selection of bottled water in the fridge. You were carrying a katana for some reason but he didn't feel the need to question that.

You looked back at him in shock. The pro hero looked even more tired than the previous time you had seen him. He was wearing a plain black long sleeved shirt and sweatpants, with his binding cloth still around his neck like some sort of scarf. Your hands trembled. You hadn't realized it the last time you crossed paths but now you recognized him.

"You're... Shota Aizawa, aren't you?"

"Uh, yep."

"I..."

"Y/n we need to get going, come on." Tomura appeared from behind a wall of ramen packets and grabbed onto your wrist.

He was about to pull you towards the exit until his eyes landed on the pro hero in front of you. Silence deadened the air. At that point it was hard to tell if the room had become tense or just plain awkward. Your mind raced thinking of every possible scenario that might happen, none of which were good.

"Why is it that I can never get a moment's rest?" Aizawa complained before unraveling his binding cloth.

Tomura's red eyes widened as he jerked you back in his direction, making everything but your katana fly in the air.

"Tomura, wait!" You tried to reason with him as you both raced through the aisles.

"Spinner. Start the van and get it on the road, we've been spotted." Tomura shouted into his phone, effectively ignoring your pleas to just slow down. You knew him, even if he was a pro hero, you KNEW him. He wouldn't hurt you.

Meanwhile, Aizawa was running behind the both of you, trying to catch up. After all this time he had to rescue you and finally be able to get you away from the villains. He had failed too many times and he wouldn't let you disappear again. "I have to stop him" Aizawa whipped his scarf onto the roof's light fixtures, effectively helping him gain ground.

Tomura slid to a stop at the entrance, a wild and murderous look in his eyes.

"Try to follow us now!" He sneered as he pressed his hand against the doorframe. Cracks rapidly started to form under his fingertips and shot across the walls.

"Tomura NO! THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE HERE!" You yelled as you stepped forward, effectively blocking his view of the pro hero.

At that same moment, Aizawa's eyes flashed red to stop Tomura's attack. You felt a weird sensation run through your body before. Pain.

Excruciating pain erupted through your wrist. It felt like your skin was ripping apart under Tomura's fingertips. You felt the air leaving your lungs at your attempt to scream as you tried to yank your hand away with his grasp. His grip was like a vice, since he was so used to your quirk protecting you from himself. Before Tomura knew what had happened, it was too late. The skin on your forearm was already stripped away.

"STOP! LET GO!" You finally screamed at him, effectively making him let go of your hand as you fell back onto the ground.

Realizing what he had done, Tomura halted his attack and looked at what his quirk had done to you. His face turned an even more ghastly shade of white as his eyes landed on your injury. The disintegration had stopped but the damage was already done.

"NO!" Tomura tried to get close to you, tears streaming down his cheeks, but you kicked him away. "Y/n, I didn't mean to-"

"Get away from me!" You whimpered, clutching onto your injured forearm.

"Come on! We need to go, now!" His red eyes were wild with panic and anger.

As he stepped closer you shrank back. The sight of your arm nearly made you vomit. The skin has been stripped away, leaving muscle fibers and cartilage clearly to be seen. Your body shook uncontrollably as cold sweat dripped down your face. The contorted look of terror and anguish on your face made Tomura take several steps back.

"I'll find you again. I promise." You watched as he took off down the dark street, leaving your injured body behind.

You felt uncontrollably dizzy as you focused back on your arm. "Y/N! Don't look at it, come here." Aizawa quickly used his scarf to wrap your injury as you slowly leaned the rest of your body weight against him.

"You're okay. I got you. I finally got you." You felt a calmness fall over you as you passed out in your old friend's arms.

_____

SMOOCH!

The tiny old lady, Recovery Girl was what she had introduced herself as, finished her treatment on you. It wasn't exactly pleasant but at least your wound was healing.

"Make sure to get plenty of rest, dear." Recovery girl smiled and gave you a lollipop before turning around and shaking her cane at Aizawa. "As for you!"

"I know, it's a mistake I'll never make again. Now can I talk to her?" Aizawa said in a monotone voice.

"Fine, but keep it short!" She said before waddling off down the hallway.

Once again a heavy silence fell between you and the tired pro hero. You looked out the window. It was night time but students still ran around the grounds of UA high school. For a moment you thought you caught a glimpse of dual red and white hair. Shoto?

"Looks like we match now." Aizawa rolled up his sleeve to reveal a large scar on his elbow that resembled shattered glass.

"He... Tomura did that to you?"

"Unfortunately, yeah."

You nodded, looking down at your hands. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault." He sighed like he hadn't had an ounce of rest in ten years, and sat down on the bed next to yours. "Looks like we got a lot to talk about."
