It had been years since you had seen Tomura Shigaraki. You were never aware of how much he had kept tabs on you during that time. Nor did you see him on those moonlit nights when he felt it was safe enough to check on you. The window of your room could clearly be seen from the fire escape on the apartment building, and there he would appear once every month or so just to make sure you were alright. You looked content, living with your uncle and the frequent visits of your mom and brother. When the man with the arrow shaped hair began sharing your bed, he swore to himself he would kill Hari Kurono if he ever hurt you. But he never saw any evidence of your unhappiness. Still, Tomura remained at your window for may years to come.

The quirk he had stolen from you ate away at him even as it protected him. It was perhaps the loudest one out of the many he had accumulated. But he made no attempt to silence it. The quirk was a part of you, the only part he was able to keep.

Had it been three years now? He wondered if it really had been that long ago. Tomura perched on the fire escape and looked into your window. The city lights were dim in the falling snow and he could barely make out your form in the darkness. He saw movement and saw Hari get up out of his side of the bed. He pulled on a hoodie and opened the curtains to see the snowy cityscape. Hari looked Tomura dead in the eye, but there was no surprise on his face. Tomura almost made a run for it and came to his feet to get away, but something kept him locked in place. Hari looked over at your sleeping form and then silently slid open the window. He crept out onto the fire escape without the whisper of a sound and slid the window back down, leaving barely a crack so he could open it again.

Hari looked out over the city, his breath coming out in gentle clouds of mist. Tomura glanced at him out of the corner of his eye, but waited and watched the same view.

"I suppose you want to kill me." Hari said simply. "I can't blame you. I guess I'd feel the same in your position."

Tomura grunted in response and folded his arms. The other man waited for a response but when none was forthcoming, he spoke.

"I started noticing you a while back. But I haven't mentioned it to her. I don't think she knows. That's how you want it, right?" Hari asked.

"Seeing me would only freak her out now." Tomura said. "I'd rather her be ignorant."

"She's a smart woman," Hari said with a nearly imperceptible smile. "She'll figure out you've been here eventually."

"I don't need you to tell me that." He snapped.

"I know."

"Ugh, why does it have to be you of all people." Tomura spat off the fire escape and leaned on the rickety railing. "I can't stand even looking at you."

Hari let out a soft chuckle. "I ask myself that every day. Heaven only knows I don't deserve her."

"I don't need your bullshit. I actually want to know why."

Hari thought back over your time together and slowly the words came to his lips. "I think it's because i was willing to change for her." He looked back through the window fondly while you snored away the early morning hours. "And I guess it's because she needed me. We needed each other."

"I needed her too!" Tomura hissed.

"But were you willing to become the man she needed in her life?" Hari said calmly.

Tomura hesitated, and then spat over the railing again.

"That's what I thought." Hari looked at the villain sternly. "I know she still cares about you. But don't think that it gives you the right to try and shove your way back into her life again. If you ever loved her, let Y/n be at peace in the life she's struggled to build for herself. If she wants to see you again, let that be up to her."
