Trigger Warnings: Mentions of panic attacks (kinda)
Grian stood in shock staring blankly at the spot where the two netherite-clad people had just stood. He had
only been walking out of his hobbit hole to see Ivory, but he had been greeted with an all too familiar face - a
face of evil.
A face from the stories.A face he had been told to hate. And he did hate.
A face of pain.
Of agony.
His shout had gone almost unheard through the blinding white light that had unleashed itself onto everyone
just before they had disappeared. The light had been created by the portal of a banned person.
Whenever a person gets banned a portal opens up dragging the person through it into a void of nothingness for a while before they are spat out in the Main Hub (the main server of the world).
The light from the portal had momentarily blinded everyone.
Grian’s vision slowly faded back to existence and he quickly looked around, looking for Ivory but she was
nowhere to be seen.Grian suspected that Ivory had run off somewhere and hid so she could contemplate on what had just happened.
Grian didn’t want Ivory to be alone and he wanted to make sure she was ok so he flew into the air and scanned the jungle floor just below the canopy of leaves.
Nothing came into view and jungle trees and bushes were just too dense to get a clear picture of the ground below.
He flew a little closer to the ground and started flying in and out of the trees, methodically looking around.
Ten minutes passed with static silence
How did she just… disappear? Grian thought to himself.
Another five minutes passed and he started heading back towards his base.
A black blur caught his eye in
the tree beside him however as he was about to leap off the branch and fly away. The black dot came a little closer with specs of white and orange dotted around it.
“Ivory, is that you?” Grian called gently.
The back dot seemed to recognise the voice and poked its head out from around the tree trunk, a white
mask coming into view.Grian instantly knew it was Ivory.
He drew closer, flying over to the branch that she was hiding on.
Ivory was leaning against the trunk with her head on her knees, that were drawn tightly in front of her, and
Her hands were pulling on strands of her hair.
A stream of salty tears spilled out from under her white mask and ran down her neck.Grian could hear her raspy breathing in loud, quick breaths with an occasional gasp as he cried.
“Ivory? Just breathe, ok?” Grian comforted.
Ivory looked up, taking off her mask slowly to reveal her red eyes and tears smeared all over her face.
She nodded at Grian and tried to calm herself; however the panic that had overtaken her overwhelmed her.She crawled over to Grian slowly and Grian pulled a little closer as well so he could comfort Ivory.
“Here. Copy me.” Grian said.
He breathed on slowly and Ivory tried, and struggled, to copy him. Grian then breathed out again and Ivory copied again.
They did this for a few minutes before Ivory eventually calmed down and Grian tried to think of something
they could do together.“Hey Ivory, do you want to play some minigames?” Grian asked.
“Umm… yeah sure what kind of minigames?” Ivory answered.
“Well, a few months ago I joined this event called MCC. It’s really cool.
Basically there’s forty people, ten
teams of four, with eight different minigames and then after that the two top teams go to a finale to see who
wins.” Grian explained.“That’s pretty cool. But can’t they be there?” Ivory asked.
“It’s a whitelisted server so they won’t be able to join unless they’re in the event but I can get into contact
with the organiser to ask if they could not be in it. It’s safe.” Grian said.“Oh, ok. I’d be up for that!” Ivory exclaimed, smiling slightly.
“Cool, I can take you to the sign up place tomorrow, ok?” Grian asked.
“Ok!” Ivory said, excited at the prospect of a competition.
They smiled at each other.
