𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘯, 𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦
Mackenzie awoke with a groan as she heard an alarm go off. She sat up as she looked for the source of the noise. There on the nightstand sat Lenny's phone as the screen lit up and read '08:15'. She groaned again as she dramatically flopped back onto the bed. The only other sound filling the room besides the blaring alarm was Lenny's quiet yet loud snores. The brunette hadn't moved a muscle at the loud phone.
"What's the point of setting an alarm if you aren't gonna wake up to it," she muttered as she jumped from the top bunk to the floor and turned the sound off. She turned to her sleeping person before squatting to the bed's height and taking a sharp inhale.
"LENNY GET YOUR ASS UP!"
The sleeping woman's eyes flew open as she was startled awake. Her defense mechanisms kicked in and she tackled the figure in-front of her without registering who it was through the sleep in her eyes. Both women grunted as they landed on the floor with a hard thud.
Selene rubbed her eyes as they finally focused on the person underneath her. "Fuck- Mackenzie I told you to stop scaring me awake! The last time you did you almost got choked out, do you want it to happen again?" she groaned as she got up and cracked her back.
"In my defense you didn't wake up to your annoying ass alarm. How can anyone sleep with that?" the blonde rolled her eyes as she accepted Selene's outstretched hands. "Put your boots on and grab your bag. It's time to go Meredith hunting, unless you wanna stay here? 'Cause you can, I really don't care," she shrugged as she put her boots on. "heavy ass boots..." she huffed.
"Nah, I'm gonna come with. I haven't seen Meredith since...the sister-cation thing..." Lenny trailed off due to how sensitive she thought the subject might be for her friend. She expected the blonde to snap on her and say 'don't bring it up' or 'shut up' like she did the previous days. Lenny, however, was not expected for the answer she got instead.
Mackenzie scoffed. "Just say since Lexie was alive. Don't walk on eggshells around me, or try to sugarcoat things. It makes me defensive. You should know this Len." she shook her head, picked up her bag, stood up and walked to the door.
"Well, duh, I know that because I'm your person. But you were all snarky the shark yesterday," Selene rolled her eyes but sounded geniuenly concerned.
"I didn't have my medicine. MJ hasn't sent my prescription papers over to me yet." Mack replied as she opened the door and held it open for her counterpart.
"Yeah, your're right. We need to hurry and get that sorted soon." Selene nodded. The blonde gave a faint 'yeah' as they continued down the hallway.
