"April, hold still. Do you want me to pull your damn hair out?"

"No, but do the curlers have to be so tight?"

Today was April's big day and Mackenzie happened to have the day off. She was in her hotel room house hunting when the redhead called and quite literally screamed her ear down until she'd agreed to help with her hair.

Mackenzie huffed as she finished putting the last curler in. "Yes. I mean, if you want 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 curls I assume the curlers would have to be put in tight, right?" she rose a brow in her friend's direction.

"Right." April stared at the blonde before shaking her head and turning away. "Okay-"

"Do you want me to wear a dress?" Mackenzie spoke up suddenly.

Shocked, April turned to see her picking at the edges of her nails. "What?"

Mackenzie sighed, eyes looking everywhere but April's. "Y'know...My arm is covered in tattoos and if I wore a dress they would be out. But if I wore a suit I could cover them. But we're gonna be in a church, so would that be disrespectful? I mean, what about your family? Aren't you guys christian? I don't want to disrespect you on your wedding day because your're my friend and-"

"Mackenzie!" April cut off her rambling with wide eyes. "I don't care what you wear as long as it matches the dress color. My family is a different story but it's my day, so who cares." she smiled.

Mack smiled back. "Cool." she looked at her watch. "Did you still need to stop at the hospital or can I go look for houses now?"

"Yes, actually I do because your sister and her friend think that it's okay to skip dress fitting just because they're fighting and can't be in the same room together for more than ten seconds." the redhead threw her a look as she grabbed the blondes car keys and chucked them at her chest. "You should talk to Meredith. See if you can calm it down, maybe?"

Mack held her hands up in defense. "Hey, I'm not their babysitter. Her and Cristina are going through things and they're emotionally occupied." she snorted.

April rolled her eyes and headed towards the front door. "I don't care. It's my wedding day and-"

"'Everything needs to be perfect'. I know, and things will be. We've had this conversation at least a million times today." Mackenzie cut her off with a smile as she stood in the door frame. She chuckled as April practically shoved her out the door and toward the car.
