Dearest Buddy,
My name is Mason Hans and I wanted you to know that you are the biggest inspiration to me. I was born on April 30th, 2005 and I get so upset because I never got the blessing to meet you. You are the reason why I play guitar and you give me purpose. You have seriously impacted the world and we all miss you very much. I like to spread the "Buddy Holly Gospel". I could talk about you for hours. I can't pick a favorite song of yours, but I absolutely love your apartment tapes. If you can somehow read this, please give me a sign while I'm at school tomorrow. Buddy, I love you so much. My Nana loved your music as well. Her name is Patricia, just like your sister! I'm very thankful that we still have Larry and I'm very thankful for his service in the war. I hope you're happy, Buddy. I'm beyond sad that you're not here, but I'm happy that you're safe.
