"Erin?"
I didn't know what was going on, was everyone lying to me? Plotting on me?
"Get up El, get away from him." I didn't know if I should listen to her but I knew Jonas would probably be the worst option so I listened. She never wavered the bumble gum pink colored gun away from him.
Was she the one who knocked?
"I'm gonna kill both of you." Jonas seethed attempting to stand up again and Erin didn't hesitate to shoot him again this time in the knee on the same leg. "Ahh fuck!" He dropped back onto the floor and banged his head against to mitigate the pain.
"Move again and I'll put the next between your eyes." Erin seemed different. She was always badass and the most confident person I'd ever met but I never expected this.
Erin looked over at me and took in my appearance from my unruly hair, to my marked skin and bruised fingers. Her hardened face broke into sorrow for a moment.
"You sick fuck." She went to shoot him again but she was thrown off by her cellphone ringing. She looked down at it.
"We have to go." Erin shoved her phone back into her pocket and put her gun back into the purse I just noticed she had. Erin nudged her head towards the opened front door. I began to move towards the door behind her but the sight of something rolling into the house from the door made us pause.
"El get bac-!" The blast happened fast, I suddenly couldn't see, my ears were ringing. Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. My breathing was ragged and I was beginning to panic.
"Erin!?" I could just barely hear myself but I was probably yelling. I think. Blinking rapidly but bright white light was all I could see. The feeling of someone grabbing my arm was suddenly there. I could faintly hear a voice but couldn't really make out all the words.
After 30 seconds it came back all at once. Once the smoke cleared the image of a lot of men in black came into view. I looked over at the one holding my arm and when he removed the face covering it was Kenzi.
"Are you okay?" He asks and I nod hesitantly. "Was that really necessary?" Erin's voice says shortly after coughing.
My eyes scan the area for Mateo but I don't see him. I suddenly felt dizzy and stumbled. Kenzi immediately caught me.
"Let me go!" Erin fought against some other man who was holding her. "Where did that bastard go?" I turned to see Jonas wasn't where he had been before that device went off.
Enzo removed his covering eyeing Erin but making his way over to me. "You're gonna feel some aftershocks of that flash bang for a little while, we should get her out of here." He looked towards Kenzi after examining my face.
