"What the hell do you think you're doing Y/n?"
I stopped my tracks as soon as I heard her voice.
"You know I can't help you if you interfere with your personal matters...your abilities won't work if you do this." She warned. Her once teasing cheery voice now changed into a serious one.
"Why do I have to take responsibility of saving someone who doesn't need saving? Why can't I let Eren just die then and there?" I bluntly said drawing both of my swords back.
"Why can't I save people who didn't deserve to die?"
"You don't understand!! Saving Eren is the only way to save this world. You can't let your selfish act get in the way!!" I sighed at her.
"I never wanted to be in this world in the first place. Why stop me now? Am I really selfish? Or are you just making me do errands just to save Eren so you could get out of your boredom?" I calmly replied, silently jumping to the roofs.
"If you do this...then you die without my help.." She muttered. But I ignored her.
"I never trained in the cadet corps for nothing. Two years is a very long experience you know.." I confidently smirked before climbing on a titan's body slicing its nape.
"If there's one thing that this world has taught me. It was to train hard to survive. And I'm gonna use my own skills to save people that I love."

I started to clear the titans out in my area, although without my gear it's nearly impossible to beat them all at once. Every jump I take, the fatigue that consumed me a while ago was slowly returning meaning that the abilities that the witch gave me are now fading.
I can't give up now..
I have to prove that I don't need her help to complete my mission.
Even if I can't take on Annie, Reiner or Bertholdt in a fight, I have to outsmart them. I can't just accept Marco's fate...the only friend that saw the best in me in this world..

"104!!! Dedicate your hearts!!!" Commander Shadis screamed. All of us were lined up in a neat manner.
I've always wanted to do this.
"YES SIR!!" We let out a scream, bringing our fist in the iconic Attack on Titan salute.
Never in my life I'd thought that I get out of my ass and be a soldier.
Not just any soldier that fights humans no.
We train to fight and we fight to survive.
even the weakest, the laziest, and the most idiotic person in our squad. We all knew the our training was worth it.

"Did the training whip you up to shape Y/n?" Marco, who sat beside me asked. I scoffed and gave him the "are you serious" look.
"I-I mean you always tell me that your town didn't had any dangers in them so I thought you didn't fight as much as the people in the outer walls.." He stammered, him looking down in embarrassment.
He's right. In the real world sure there are lots of violence everywhere. But our world didn't have flesh eating giants lurking around in the modern era. Just war between countries, or just the same old social media fights and whatnot.
