Chapter 11 - Loss will be Found

Everyone was astonished when the titan managed to kill the abnormal that ate their friend Thomas Wagner.

It was like fate decided to give justice for the people who sacrificed their lives just for the humanity's survival.

Mikasa and Armin couldn't believe their eyes when the rampaging titan finally collapsed the smoke coming out from its naped was revealed to be their friend Eren.

Eren

I wanted to slaughter all of them. What they did.

My squad payed their lives just so humanity could stand a chance against the Titans.

Why...

Why am I dying?

I can't die like this!!!

"Eren..." I heard a faint whisper, it was so faint that I'm surprised that I could still hear it.

"Eren...keep fighting...for me please..." The voice said again. It was so familiar, although I couldn't put a finger on who's voice it is.

"You're gonna be okay..."

"Who are you?!" I yelled, my voice echoed throughout the area it was like I'm in a field of flowers, like a garden.

"You are free..." It whispered again, the echoes of the voice slowly faded away.

"What do you mean? Wait!!! Come back!!" I screamed but I was already out of there.

I feel the wind hit my skin, like the steam that I felt when I fought the colossal titan, something is binding my hands, like a flesh holding on to me.

I heard Mikasa's sobs, immediately I was engulfed by her warm embrace.

I was alive.

But I couldn't open my eyes.

What's happening?...

My eyes widen, I look at Armin by my side while Mikasa blocking me from the people who pointed their weapons at me.

What did I do?

I'm gonna kill more of you...

I blinked

Why are they pointing their weapons at me?

Aren't those for the titans??

"Tell them everything you know!!" Armin frantically said, his eyes were full of fear as we are already at gunpoint.

"Y/n...where is she?" I blurted out.

I have no idea what I'm saying but I have to see her.

Like something's urging me to find her.

"Did you hear? He said he wanted to kill us.." One soldier said.

"Yeah I heard, he's planning on eating us!" The other angrily replied, all of them glaring at me.

I shake away my thoughts. I can find her later. But first I have to survive from getting killed by these people.

I leaned against the wall as I catch my breath. I have no energy left.

My exhausted body doubled down, this is no time to rest.

"I have to-"

My eyes widen when I saw a flash of yellow lightning coming down on the other side of the wall.

"Eren transformed..." I whispered to myself. It was my first time seeing this, but I got out of my thoughts and covered my ears so it wouldn't get damaged from the loud explosion.

"I have to wait until they come here. I can't show up to the HQ or else they would know that I know who they are." I muttered, hiding inside of a ruined house. I might be able to rest for a bit.

I gritted my teeth as I hear three people talking, this is it.

I'm going to do it..

I climbed up the other side of the roof preparing to grab Marco to prevent him from hearing any of their schemes.

I can't just stand here and leave my friend to die.

I ran forward to grab him, my bloody hands were gripping his jacket.

I felt my heart clench, my head was throbbing.

"AAGH!-" I choked on my words, what the hell is happening...?

"I'm sorry Y/n..." I heard the witch's voice

"But I can't risk this..."

"Y/N!!!!" I flinched when I saw Bertholdt holding my feet up, I looked down to see a titan was almost an inch away to devour me. I stared at him wide eyed. Where's Marco?...

He pulled me towards him, I was still dizzy to see what's happening, but I can tell that he was frightened. They...killed him...

"Are you okay?! Why are you here???" Reiner immediately asked, it was like he was hesitant of what he should do.

I saw Marco's life flash before my eyes.

I saw him die before that damn witch decided to stop me.

"We couldn't risk it..If she saw Marco die then she must've heard us talking too." He whispered at Bertholdt but he only sighed.

"She never heard us..." He defended but Annie only glance at my way before talking to them.

"We already killed one today. It would be best to leave her for now.." He coldly replied before maneuvering away.

I froze at my spot.

I wasn't able to save him..

Droplets of tears started forming on my eyes. Even if I wanted to...I couldn't save everyone..

I was on a leash...

I'm only a puppet in this world..
