It was finally over, although I didn't get placed in top ten I was happy for them.
Sooner or later I would have chosen the Scout Regiment anyways.
"So you also didn't get placed in top ten?" Ymir who was beside me asked. I nodded at her question, my eyes glued to the people standing in front of us.
"I know my limits..at least I didn't hold back so my girlfriend could get in." I teased her but she only smirked at me, her eyes looking over Krista.
"You're something..L/n..although I couldn't quite put a finger on it."
I immediately shut my mouth. I couldn't risk getting caught this early.

"Congratulations on getting into top ten!!" I greeted all of them but Armin only mumbled whispering how 'more qualified I am than him'
"Thank you Y/n! although I'm---" I put my arm on Marco and Jean's neck grinning at the both of them.
"No...I think you deserve the positions..besides, no matter if I am in one of the ten I would still pick Scout Regiment so I guess the people who wanted to be in Military police deserved their hard work." I explained, earning a blush from Jean and a glance from Eren.
"Damn, how did I get ranked under Eren..Damn it!" Jean whispered in which I laughed along with Marco who was drinking.
"It wasn't that bad. I'm sure Ranks aren't important. The important thing is to celebrate!!" I cheered, raising my cup.
I had to be cheerful..for Marco and Jean, because if I don't I would've blown my cover long ago.
"Say Y/n.." Jean whispered.
"What do you think of that Suicidal Bastard over there?" he asked, making my choke on my drink.
"Wh-Whaaaat?? Are you testing me?" I half-joked gulping down my drink.
"No what I meant is, do you believe in what he's saying? Because it seems that the both of you have the same morals.." He replied, his face was more serious than annoyed.
I paused.
Do I believe in what he is doing?
Do I think that he's right to do what he is about to do in the future?
I sighed. Putting my cup down.
"Beats me, I only came here so I could go home. Nothing else." I answered. Earning a nod from him.
The people were silent because of Thomas's outburst.
"So?..You're going to give up because you don't think we can win?"
"Well..." Thomas tried to explain but Eren was far from done.
"Yes. Humanity has been losing so far..But that's because we were clueless about the Titans!"
"Material warfare is useless against them...."
"We lost, but the information we gained in battle will lead to our hope!"
"Are we just going to throw away all the advances in techniques that cost us thousands of lives so we can be the Titans' food?" He pauses and looks around the crowd.
"I'm going to drive out every last titan and leave these cramped walls! That's my dream!"
His teal eyes stops at mine, they widen. It was like he had seen a ghost.
I blinked shaking the thought from my head.
He's right..
No matter what, I will save him.
and I will go home.

I sat behind the wall, hearing the trio talking.
This has been a rollercoaster.
I have to get serious or else I won't go home.
Focus on the Mission.
"Yahoo!!" A familiar voice greeted me, I didn't have the energy to reply so I just listened on what she has to say.
"I've been watching you Y/n! and very good for making progress...I'm proud of you!!" The middle aged witch giggled, but I only sighed staring at the water puddle to my side. The water droplets from the pipes calmed my nerves down.
"Oh come on...try to have some fun in that world! This is, after all a once in a life time experience."
"You're the one who said that I wasn't allowed to fully interact with them! Now you're asking me to mingle?!" I whisper-yelled at her but she only scoffed waving her hands off.
"I did say that. But I didn't say that you have to completely ignore them no! I want you to get close to our damsel in distress, that way you might be able to convince his sorry ass to prevent himself from dying." She said cheerfully. I paused, slowly nodding at her plan.
Befriending? Easy to say, hard to do.
I just hope I wouldn't get killed by Mikasa for getting close to her boyfriend.
