Rude Awakening

It was just a usual day in the lair. Leo was skateboarding, Mikey was in the arcade, Raph was training, and Donnie and I were in the lab.

I was going through his blueprints and ideas, trying to find something for Donnie and I to do. Well... for him to do, and for me to just sit and watch.

He had already finished his biggest project, the drill. He had already done pretty much everything I was looking at. Until I found something.

"Hey, Don?" I asked. "Yeah?" He said from across the lab. "When was the last time you updated Shelldon?" He thought for a second. "I'm not sure, I guess I could give him an update." He said, looking for Shelldon's last update plans.

I started playing Donnie's work music that he listens to while he works. I decided to clean up the lab a little, considering it was so cluttered with ideas and plans for future projects.

"SHELLDON!" Donnie yells, startling me a little causing me to drop the broom. He laughed at me. "What's up, D!" Shelldon says as he flies into the lab.

"I'm gonna give you some updates, buddy." Donnie says, patting Shelldon on the head. "Awesome!" Shelldon said, flying to the desk for Donnie to look at him. "See you in a little bit, bud." Donnie says, turning off Shelldon's AI.

I was dancing around the room listening to Don's music, sweeping the floor. Donnie was deep into Shelldon's circuitry, being very careful not to damage important parts.

I was sweeping around Donnie's desk, where he was sitting. I tripped over a big wire that ran across Donnie's lab, bumping into his arm and crashing into the pile of spare parts.

"Y/N! Holy hell, are you okay?!" Donnie says, dropping his tools and rushing towards me. I hit my head pretty hard, and it took me a second to regain my vision. "Yeah, I'm okay, D." He helped me up, brushing me off and kissing my head.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you. I didn't mess anything up, did I?" I asked, slightly concerned. He looked over at Shelldon's disassembled body, searching for something that could have been effected. He shook his head no, and went back to work.

I felt guilty about bumping into him like that, breaking his focus. I decided to go see what Leo was up to.

"Hey, Leo!" I yelled, accidentally startling him as he skated back down the ramp, crashing on the floor and sliding on his face.

"Oh, Shit! Are you okay?" I asked, rushing over to him. "Yeah, I'm fine." He chortled, winking at me. "What did you need?" He added.

"I just wanted to see what you were up to. I accidentally bumped into Don while he was updating Shelldon.. I felt bad so I left the awkward atmosphere." He winced as if he understood the pain of awkwardness.

"Don't worry, mi futuro cuñada. Everything is fine." I loved it when Leo spoke in Spanish, because I thought it was funny how someone with such a low English vocabulary could be so fluent in a different language.

Suddenly, we heard a loud crash and screaming coming from Donnie's lab. "Shelldon, what's the matter with you?!" Donnie yelled, running out of his lab. Shelldon followed quickly behind him, but something wasn't right. His eyes weren't his usual orange color, they were bright red.

"You never let me do anything I want! You're always so strict! I wish you were a normal dad!" Shelldon said, yelling at Donnie.
