#5 special day

HIII!! in honor of my birthday today...you get a rini one shot, birthday themed ofc :)

*all characters are around 24-25 and live on their own or with their significant other***

"Okay and did you find confetti poppers?", Ricky asks Gina over the phone.

"Sure did!", she replies, enthusiastic.

"Okay good...I want this to be the perfect day...", he mentions.

"It will Ricky...stop stressing!", Gina pleads, "Even if it turns out like trash...you know Nini, she'll appreciate it either way."

Ricky sighs, "You're right. Okay well- I think she's almost home from work. Talk later."

Ricky puts his phone in his jeans pocket as he hears the lock turn on the apartment door. He walks out of the bedroom and into the living room to see his girlfriend walk through the door. She shuts the door and locks it, letting out a breathy sigh.

She turns around and looks up, letting a smile form on her face when she catches the gaze of her boyfriend.

"Hi angel", he smiles, walking up to her.

"Hey", she breaths out.

"Everything okay?", he asks as he wraps his arms around her, kissing her head.

"Yeah- just stressed over work.", she replies, melting in his embrace.

"What's goin on?", he asks, releasing from
the hug and going into the kitchen to get her a snack.

Nini follows closely behind him as they enter the kitchen. She takes a seat on one of their island chairs while Ricky looks in the pantry.

"Basically- this client of mine is just being difficult. And we have an album cover deadline by next Friday and they won't take any of h suggestions.", Nini explains.

Ricky sets a bowl of animal crackers in front of her and she smiles sweetly. He gives her a comforting smile as he leans his elbows on the island, looking into her golden brown eyes.

"You'll work it out. You always do. Besides, it's Friday...it's the weekend...and your birthday is tomorrow. No stressing, ya hear me?"

She chuckles, placing a cracker in her mouth.

"Yes ma'am.", she jokes.

Ricky fake gasps in disbelief before walking around the island and attacking her with kisses. She giggles and laughs until he finally stops and she catches her breath.

"How about...we watch a movie tonight?", Ricky suggests.

Nini nods, "Fine by me."

"You can go shower and get comfy...I'll order a pizza and get everything set up.", Ricky smiles.

Nini smiles and kisses her boyfriend on the lips before strolling off into their bedroom.

After around 30 minutes, the pizza arrives and Nini is showered and comfortable. Ricky shuts the door after paying the pizza delivery guy, turning around to see her walking out of the bedroom.

"Oh that smells good.", she sighs.

"Lucky for you...you get to eat it.", Ricky
chuckles as he places the box on the coffee table.

Nini does a small happy dance as she runs over to the living room. She grabs her fluffy, soft, giant, gray blanket before plopping herself on the couch.

"What do you want to drink?", Ricky asks from the kitchen.

"Just a water please", Nini replies.

Ricky comes walking back into the living room a couple moments later, waters and a bowl of popcorn in hand. Nini grins widely as she watches him.
