#12- friendsgiving

HII!!! happy thanksgiving to those who celebrate!!! i hope you ate a lot of food today and had fun!!!

also i don't know why i always gravitate towards ending things with surprises and odd things...but anyhoo

thanksgiving is tomorrow and the friend group is getting together after not seeing each other in around 3 years. everyone was finally free this year so they immediately planned a friendsgiving.

the newlyweds, ricky and nini, decided to host. the couple is currently rushing around their new house, ensuring it looks perfect.

"hey can you toss me that cloth?", nini asks ricky.

he looks around before grabbing a cloth off a table and tossing it to his wife. nini catches it and wipes down the kitchen counters.

she lets out a breath, placing her hands on her hips. ricky strolls into the kitchen and smiles at her.

"the house looks great.", he says, wrapping his arms around her from behind.

nini relaxes in his arms and smiles, "our first thanksgiving here."

it's thanksgiving day and nini is in her bathroom getting ready. using her curling iron, she loosely curls the strands of her hair. when she finishes, she sprays her hair with hairspray and begins doing her makeup.

yesterday, ricky and nini prepared some of the food and ricky's downstairs cooking it all. once nini finishes her makeup, she adds jewelry to finish off her outfit.

she walks out of their bedroom and into the kitchen. the aroma of classic thanksgiving food is traveling throughout the house and nini takes in a deep breath.

"it smells delicious.", she sighs.

ricky smiles at his wife and kisses her cheek, "you look really pretty."

she blushes and smiles. even though they've been married for about three years now, the two of them still manage to get nervous around one another.

"let me set the table.", she says, taking the necessary supplies to their dining table.

she places down utensils, cups, plates, and napkins all around their table. nini steps back and looks at the decorated room. she smiles to herself and begins to get excited.

meanwhile, ricky's in the kitchen, taking food out of the oven and covering it with foil and then replacing the dish that came from the oven with another one.

soon, the doorbell begins to go off and nini rushes over. she opens it up and sees gina, ej, ashlyn, and red standing there.

all their eyes widen and they hug each other.

"oh my gosh!", nini exclaims, "you guys look amazing."

"it's been so long.", ashlyn smiles, "the house is beautiful."

"thank you...come in!", nini says, opening the door wider.

"ricky's in the kitchen getting everything ready.", nini tells them.

ej raises his hand that holds a pie and nini grins, "apple pie...my favorite. we can stick it in the fridge."

they all walk into the kitchen and through the craziness of cooking, ricky pops his head up.

"hey guys!", he greets, "how's everyone doing?"

"good man! i see you've become a chef?", ej chuckles.

as everyone begins talking nini travels back and forth to the front door, letting everyone in.

"kourt...howie!", nini smiles, "omg let me see the ring!"

kourtney flashes her diamond ring in the air and nini squeals.

"it's so pretty.", she says, admiring the diamond that glistens in the sunlight.

finally seb and carlos arrive and then everyone is here. the groups are all talking in the dining room and catching up. there's instrumental music playing in the background, creating an enjoyable scene.

ricky shortly finishes cooking everything and he sets it up in the kitchen. making sure each dish has a serving utensil, he walks into the dining room where everyone is.

"food is served!", he calls out.

everyone gets up with their plate and begins dishing up food. the house smells like freshly made everything. once everyone has gotten food and drinks, they take their seats at the dining table.

as the group eats, everyone is having conversations with one another. seeing as they have been so busy for the past 3 years, there's a lot to catch up on. after about an hour and a half, everyone is full and groaning.

"who wants dessert?", nini asks and everyone chuckles, "we have a pumpkin pie...and an apple pie...thanks to ej and gina."

nini and ricky both get up and walk into the kitchen. when they get in there, ricky puts his arm around her, kissing her head.

"ready?", he asks.

nini nods her head and grabs the pumpkin pie from the fridge while ricky grabs the apple pie. the two of them walk back into the dining room and everyone looks at me.

"okay i need everyone to look at how perfect this pumpkin pie is."

nini sets it down in the middle of the table and everyone looks at it. slowly, everyone's heads pop up to face the newly weds.

the pumpkin pie is decorated on the top. the decoration being a big pumpkin with a little pumpkin inside it.

"are you serious?!", gina squeals, running over to hug her best friend.

nini laughs and everyone engulfs her in hugs. of course the boys fist bump one another and start talking about becoming parents.

"how far along?", kourtney asks.

"about 12 weeks.", nini smiles, feeling overwhelmed with emotion.

"i'm throwing you a gender reveal party.", carlos says.

"please do.", nini laughs.
