Chapter 6

Collin goes back home with Sophia, the school year finished pretty uneventfully, but since they had to submit the project he has developed a... feeling for her. He doesn't get it, but it works. Maybe, it's his companion that he has been longing for. Whatever! He has to focus on the dad. The dad, that beast of corny jokes and overprote-.

"Hey, snap out of it!" Sophia shouts.

"Oh, what? We're here?" He looks dazed at Sophia.

"Not exactly, you were about to cross the road to your death though."

"Ok... Thanks?"

Sophia blushes slightly, "No big deal! Haha..."

They soon make it after the long walk from school to Sophia's house. Under the pretense of studying though. Sophia claims she has told her parents about the visit, but little did he know... She was lying!

"Alright, we're here!" Sophia states happily.

"Wow, what a nice house you got here." He said plainly.

"Yeah, it's quite nice, being hidden in the forest."

Sophia looks more and more concerned as she puts her hand onto the doorknob. Oh! What terrors she was going to inflict on her crush! Her family already knows about her crush, but not about the visitation. She pauses suddenly.

"Let's... Go to my fort."

"Ok then...?" He shrugged it off, the fort probably is cool either way.

They walk around the house, taking a long curve into the woods, to ensure nobody sees them. Collin follows, unquestioningly because he doesn't know the place very well. Sophia begins to get jumpy as they continue onto the fort. The fort should be empty and well, it'll just be him and I!

"Oh, we're here!" Sophia shouts!

"Woah, that's a bit much of an introduction to a pile of sticks." He says, jokingly.

The fort itself is a series of bundled sticks to make a surprisingly sturdy structure. The sticks were cleaned to give it a nice oak look to it. Especially with the trees around it, making a nice holdout in the forests.

"Awgh, stop it!" She says, lovingly annoyed.

"Aw, I'm just kidding, this is quite a nice place."

"Aha! Now you see it for what it is!"

Collin shakes his head, "Ok, ok... Now what?"

"We go in, obviously."

Collin chuckles, and lets himself in, holding Sophia's hand to ensure she doesn't get hurt. Sophia blushes as he holds her hand firmly into the fort.
