Then, the two lovers went back to their respective houses to get ready for that night. Sophia waited until her parents went to bed to get ready for her illicit meeting with Collin. Collin didn't see any point in waiting. He got dressed in all black, like the Indian James Bond, and he started to shape his blankets into rope-like structures and he threw them out of the window.

They both waited until the sun set on that crisp autumn day. Then, Collin snuck out of his bedroom window and away from the warmth of his home. A few moments later, Sophia followed suit. It was only half past nine when they saw each other, but it seemed like a whole lifetime had passed by. Sophia ran over to Collin and hugged him.

"Miss me?" he asked with a laugh.

"No, just cold." Then Sophia laughed. "Of course I missed you. You've been mad at me for days now."

"Yeah... sorry about that," Collin said sheepishly. "It just felt so betrayed. I had given it my heart and then I thought you gave it away."

"Do not make me think of one of those Christmas songs."

"All I want for Christmas is you!"

"Stop it! So what is it that I owe you?"

"I want you to beat me up."

"Why?"

"I hurt you so much so I think it's time that you hurt me just as I hurt you."

"Are you sure?"

"100% sure."

"Alright."

And then Sophia began to hit Collin. She punched him in the arm multiple times and she kicked his shins so hard that she thought he might start bleeding. But Collin never flinched and kept steady. He took the pain. Finally, Sophia stopped.

"That," she gasped, "is how much you hurt me."

Then she fell onto the forest floor, exhausted and out of breath. Collin knelt down next to her.

"That was fun," he said.

Sophia laughed. "I'm sure it was. You like pain."

"Yes, yes I do."

Collin leaned down and kissed her. Sophia, though extremely exhausted, kissed him back. The kiss was short but passionate and full of love. Then Collin helped Sophia to her feet. Sophia was shaky at first and she held onto Collin for support. When she was finally on her feet, Collin took out his phone and began to play music.

He grabbed Sophia's shoulder and waist and the two began to dance. Neither of them were very good but they had fun. After the fifth song, Collin sat down on a nearby log to catch his breath. Sophia did the exact same only seconds later. After a few minutes, Collin slid off the log and got down on one knee.
