"Collin! Wait up!" Sophia called him the next day.
"Why? I have nothing to say to you!" He replied harshly.
"You will once I show you this!" she yelled back.
"No, no I won't. Just leave me alone." Collin said as he hurried away.
Sophia stared at the retreating form of Collin, wondering what could have happened to make things go so wrong.
Later that same day, Sophia ran into Nicole and Miranda who were deep in conversation.
"Sophia! Wait!" Nicole called to her.
"Why?" Sophia asked.
"Because, we are your friends, so we are supposed to talk to each other." Miranda said.
"Well, we don't have anything that we need to discuss." Sophia said.
"Sure we do!" Nicole replied cheerfully. "We can talk about why you broke up with Collin!"
"Why do you sound so cheerful about it?" Sophia asked Nicole accusingly.
"I am not trying to!" Nicole said quickly.
"Well, bye." Sophia said, stalking off quickly.
