I sigh as I put my book down on the floor next to me. No matter what I tried to occupy my brain with; I couldn't shake the dreadful feeling. I hadn't felt like myself lately and unwanted thoughts crept around in my mind. My head fell back as I let out a groan. God, this sucks. I lift my head back up to look at the clock hanging neatly on the tan wall. Ali would be home soon, thank god. He always knew how to make me feel better.

I stood up and headed to the kitchen, deciding to make dinner for him when he got home. We usually just ordered takeout yet I decided I wanted to do something special for him. As I finished cooking, I heard the door open.

"Babe, I'm home!"

"I'm in the kitchen," I shouted back, attempting to hide the excitement in my voice.

A big smile was plastered across his face as he stepped into the kitchen.

"I missed you so much, you look just as handsome as when I left this morning," he cooed, pulling me into a hug and planting a kiss on my cheek.

I felt my cheeks flush as the word 'handsome' left his lips.

"Do... Do you really think I'm handsome," I quietly spoke.

"Yes, of course. Why wouldn't I," Ali paused for a moment before he spoke again, "(y/n), I promise you that you're my favorite boy in the whole world. I know that your mind tells you mean things but they are not true."

He gently grabs my chin; giving me a long, gentle kiss.

"There's no one I'd rather be with."

I couldn't help but smile at his confession. He sure was sweet. I wrapped my arms around him and laid my head on his chest. We stayed there for a while before finally letting go.

"Oh! I made dinner," I smiled at him "it's your favorite."

We both grabbed a serving and sat down, starting to eat.

"I made some extra money today," he suddenly said in between bites.

"Oh? The boss finally give you your paycheck?"

He let out a small chuckle before taking another bite.

"I was thinking maybe we can go see a movie or something. I know you don't really like going out but I think it could be fun."

"Ali... I don't know..." I trailed off.

"If you dont wanna go then how about we just buy some snacks and have a lazy day, hm?"

That one sounded much better to me. I nodded with a giant smile on my face. He smiled back, going back to his meal. Once he was done, he thanked me and got up to head to the store.

"Be careful," I reminded him, cleaning up.

He gave me a small peck on the lips and left. Tonight was going to be great.
