Chapter 35: Elections

     The next morning, I was sleeping in since it was finally the weekend. I had a rough night since I wasn't able to sleep much. I got out of bed at 9 and I saw Rox really focused on the TV since he was into who's going to be elected as mayor. As for everyone else they all left the house to go vote. I wish I could vote but I had to be at least 18 but I'm only 7.

"Who are you voting for dad?" I asked.

"Mayor Don since he did so much for us and made our community safe." Rox explains.

"Oh ok." I said as I was about to head out the door.

"Where are you going son?" He asked.

    "I'm going to go see how Loona is doing since I'm worried about her." I answered.

  "Blitzo called us and told us she has strep and he doesn't want you to get it." Rox said.

"I just miss her and I want to see her." I said.

"I know but we don't want you to have strep. So she will be okay. Come on, why don't you sit next to me while I plan what father and son should do today on a Saturday." Rox says as he sat me back down.

"Okay dad." I said as I sat next to him on the couch.

Meanwhile...

  Stolas was watching us outside the window since he was concerned and tried to track down where Corvus is and noticed that he's inside Johnny Opin at city hall.     

   Johnny was making his speech and Corvus was helping him manipulate the spectators that are listening to his speech.

   "If you vote for me, I will make this city 100 times better, for every human and fur to have a good life in Zon City and I will make it happen! Less crime, more peace, harmony and love!" Johnny shouted.

  The Empress Erica watched and listened to his speech and from the stands and wasn't sure he was improving on his redemption but let's him go on. Most of the furries in the crowd didn't believe what he said and walked away even some humans did as well but a few furries and some humans stayed to listen to Johnny's speech.

   After the event, Erica officially opened the polls for the citizens to cast their votes. Johnny grabs his speech papers and was about to head home for the day until Erica grabbed his shoulder.

"Johnny, can we talk?" Erica asked.

"Yes sure, Empress." Johnny said in an annoyed tone.

   She got offended a little by his attitude but let it slide. They got out of city hall and went in her limo and headed to her mansion. Johnny sat down and sighed while Erica sat down across from him and opened a bottle of wine and poured it in two wine glasses.

"Johnny, do you know why I want to talk to you?" Erica asked.

"Busting my balls like always?" Johnny asked.

Erica sighed in frustration but kept her cool

"That kind of attitude of yours is making my patience thin, if it wasn't for me, you could've been jobless and living in an alley." Erica explains as she takes a sip from her glass.

    Johnny rolled his eyes and stayed silent.

   "Look Johnny Opin, you still owe me ever since I gave you a second chance on life. You discriminated against all the Furry citizens including me on public television. That
speech you made on the coexistence learning facility really crossed the line. And this election that you decided to participate in won't make me forgive but lucky for you, I'm a patient woman for everyone. So you better get your act together if you want to redeem yourself." Erica explains

She signaled the driver to stop at Johnny's house.

"Think about what I said." She said as she opened the door for him

   Johnny didn't say a word and headed inside his house. He heads to his bedroom and opens a secret door to a hidden room of racist SDF posters, anti-furry pictures, SDF flags, and a memorial of his father Salen Kotch. Johnny then puts on his SDF uniform and his medals on and solutes.

"Father, I know you are having a time in hell with all the fallen comrades but, I Johnny Opin Kotch will finish where you started father. I will dominate Zon for your honor."

Corvus then went deeper in Johnny's mind to make him more evil.

"I think you should put Erica in her place. You should get her out of the picture if you want all the power to rule Zon." Corvus persuaded.

  Meanwhile...

  Rox and I went to grab a bite at a Chinese restaurant for lunch, while we sat down at our table, we went ahead to the buffet and grabbed a plate. I chose some egg rolls and some beef and broccoli and some lo mein. I sat down on the table and started eating and Rox came back with a plate full of food as well. Stolas was not far and kept an eye on me since he was concerned about Corvus still have control over me even when he's not inside me

"Don't worry Stan. I will protect you." He said.
