Hajime remembered that he stood under the dark, night sky, sprinkled with stars, the cold breeze rustling his hair, and he could hear the rave music from the dining hall down by the cottages. It wouldn't surprise him if Usami had already heard them. Inside the dining hall, the music was even louder. There was little to no preparation, since Usami wasn't allowed to know what the children were planning, so there were no stage lights and no dance floor, but the hall was packed with dancing teens. Some of them had brought a flashlight, which they waved in the air, while others had brought glow sticks and turned them into makeshift bracelets. Ibuki greeted them at the door, completely decked-out with glow sticks, they were in her hair, in her clothes and her wrists were completely covered in them. ''Come in, come in!'' She yelled above the music, ''You're the only ones who haven't shown up yet!''

The only ones? Did that mean that Chiaki would be there, too...? Hajime felt his heartbeat pick up. Would she dance with him again? Well, it wasn't a slowdance kind of party, so probably not. But he still wanted to dance with her. Even if it wasn't slow dancing.

Together, they walked into the busy, warm dining hall. Gundham was the only one standing against the wall, peering into his drink. Fuyuhiko could be seen swing dancing with Peko at the edge of the hall, which was strange, because intense rap music was playing. Ibuki skipped back into the hall and flew into the Imposter's arms, who invited her with gaping eyes. From the corner of his eye, Hajime spotted Marihu's red hair and got an idea. He wasn't even drunk and he got a dumb, stupid, horrible idea. This was going to be an intense night. He poked Kazuichi with his elbow and yelled: ''Why won't you go dance with Marihu?''

Kazuichi looked at Hajime, eyes furrowed a little questioningly. ''Dance with Marihu? Why would I do that?''

''Just go. It'll be fun.''

Kazuichi shot Hajime a questioning glance, but walked over to Marihu either way. Hajime smiled to himself. This was either going to go very well, or absolutely face-down, ass-up.

While Hajime was scouting out the dining hall, he almost tripped over Usami. ''U- Usami?!'' He yelled, ''What're you doing here?!''

''Whaaaaat?!'' Usami yelled, ''I can't hear you!!!''

''I saaaaiiiid!'' Hajime bellowed, ''WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!''

''WHAT AM I DOING HERE?!''

''YEAH!!!''

''I HEARD ABOUT YOUR PARTY, SO I CAME TO SUPERVISE! I CONFISCATED ALL YOUR ALCOHOL, BUT YOU'RE ALLOWED TO PARTY AS HARD AS YOU WANT!!!''

Hajime shrugged. Well, there was no way the class could organise something this grand without Usami finding out. Her taking away their alcohol would be no threat to their Ultimate Party Plans. He smiled at her, nodded, and went on his way. He had to find Chiaki. Hajime passed by Gundham, who seemed a bit more brooding than usual. He decided to stop by and have a talk with the breeder. ''What got you in a bad mood?''

''I am a dark lord. I do not let myself get pestered by such humane things as a 'bad mood.' ''

''You seem more brooding than usual. Is something up?''

Gundham sighed. ''The Dark Queen is being fickle. She's angry with me because of the text I wrote.''

''I can imagine. She probably feels rejected.''

''You... can imagine?'' Gundham peered back into his cup. ''Should I apologise? No, perish the thought! A dark lord never apologises.'' He glanced up. ''Besides, I do not feel as if I'm in the wrong. I merely wrote down my desires. If anything, I'm freed of them now.''

Hajime nodded quietly. He didn't know what to tell Gundham, he had no experience with these sorts of fights. Scratch that, he didn't even have any experience having a girlfriend. Was there any way he could just... scoot out of the conversation? ''Why... won't you come dance with us?'' Hajime stuttered. Well, that was dumb. He hadn't even drank alcohol and he was coming up with all these stupid ideas.
