I Will Crystallize
I can only remember Sage looking sad and distraught, when I last looked back at him before being pulled out of the house. “Charlotte?” Abraham was now trying to get my attention but I couldn’t really pay attention to him right. I was still stuck on the fact that I had been pulled away from someone who had tried to protect me from whatever my family lied about. What did my parents lie to me about? “Charlotte.” This time Abraham sounded annoyed. “Yes?” I replied “We’ll be at the destination soon.” He said, now pleased with the fact that I finally answered him. “Really and where is our destination?” I asked. Surely my face said something more than I intended it to because Abraham looked at me saying “I know you may not want to do this but our parents arranged this for us.” I looked at him, knowing he was telling the truth. My mom told me about him, but why didn’t she keep reminding me as I grew older?
“Sigh... Yeah. It’s just I’m 18 and getting married,” I said looking out the window. Trees and bushes were passing within my view. “So where is our engagement party at?” “It’s going to be at my house.” Abraham replied. “Oh. Okay,” I looked at him suddenly wanting to ask about the dress. “Did... did someone already pick out my dress?” He looked up at me surprised. Suddenly I felt red and hot (totally embarrassing!). He smiled.
“No.”
“Oh. Okay.” I smiled and quickly looked away.
“I told them that they couldn’t” Abraham replied with a smile that looked like a kid who knew he’d done something embarrassing.
I looked at him suddenly wanting to hug him. “Thank you.” I whispered. “No problem. I wasn’t going to let anyone take away the joy of picking out a dress from you.” I looked at Abraham and realized how cute and nice he was with me. Actually he wasn’t just cute, he was handsome and muscular. His eyes were a beautiful hazel that so wonderfully complimented his skin. His skin was a dark Spaniards skin and his hair didn’t need to be neat to look good. “So with that said, I think we should go to this store.” Abraham was pointing at a magazine he had pulled out. “Charlotte?” he was looking at me now. “Oh, uh, sorry.” I nervously said.
“It’s fine. Now like I was saying this store might be best to go shopping right now.” He said pointing at the front of the magazine. “My mother once told me that this is the best place to shop when you’re becoming a Kyokutou.” I leaned in closer to him to look at the magazine. “What’s a Kyūketsuki’?” I asked, looking at the cover with the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen. “Hmm? Oh, yes. A Kyūketsuki is what we call ourselves.” He replied. “We?” “We as in the ‘Kyūketsuki’. We’re basically the stereo typed vampires but we’re able to be in the Sun.” he explained, while smiling. "Vampire? What? B-but... how?” I stammered. “Sigh... its fine that you don’t remember what we taught you.” He said. “Taught me?! I honestly was never taught anything.” I screamed. He then leaned in and kissed my cheek. Suddenly I felt calm and drowsy. “What’d you do that for?” I said lazily. I was now looking at Abraham but my vision was becoming blurry and disfigured. “No reason.” He was smiling with his teeth bared. They were white and his teeth were actually a stereo typed kind; sharp and scary.

Slowly my eyes began to flutter open. All I was able to see was a bright white light. Was it a light? No. I sat up slowly, looking at my surroundings I see people walking or hurrying around. “Oh, my lady, Lord White has decided he wants you to wear this shade for the dress.” A lady came up to me holding a dress that was the shade of lavender. It was a beautiful gown that went to the floor, it was made out of silk and it was sleeveless. “That... that’s beautiful,” I said in awe. “May I try it on?” “Of course, my lady.” She replied with such elegance, while handing it to me. “The Changing rooms are over there. Just take a left in that hallway there.” She was now pointing at the hallway with no one in it. I then ran to the changing room to obviously change (duh!). I walked through the hallway thinking about these past few days and how weird they had been. Sage; a guy who helped me escape from whatever disasters my mom was causing me and Abraham; a guy who assumes I’m his fiancée. Sigh. Why is my life so... confusing? I stopped thinking and looked around. Had I missed the next turn? I turned to the left hallway and saw that there was a beautiful room. I walked in and assumed this is where I was to change.
