Chapter 3: Clarification

Zero entered the bathroom, looking around casually, everything looked familiar, felt familiar.

As he got his shower ready, he asked the system the simplest question.'System, why am I here?'

[Host, your path to oblivion was intercepted, resulting in your current situation.]

'What intercepted me?' Zero was curious as to what could have caused him to be transported into the Twilight world with his body, exact same character and with an egotistical system to go with it.

[A wandering soul intercepted your path, making your trajectory veer from the original road and into the Twilight universe. And I am not egotistical host, just aware of my full glory.]

Zero thought he could hear a bit of defensiveness in the system's mechanical voice.

'See, now that is egotistical right there. Anyway back to business, where did you come from and why do you call me, 'host'.' Zero's eyes turned colder than they already were, wanting to know where this system came for.

The system felt a chill down its non-existant spine.

[Well, you see host I am a powerful system that cannot be bonded to just anyone, so I have to find the right 'host' to bond with making us a powerful pair that can do anything as long as we cooperate.] The system felt cold all over even though it should not be able to feel anything.

Zero heard the system and laughed out loud.

"So your not only egotistical, but you are an egotistical parasite as well," Zero snorted slightly, the action still beautiful coming from his handsome face, "fancy way of saying you're a parasite."

The system immediately became offended, feeling wronged.

[Host I am not a parasite, I am a sentient being.] The system spoke indignantly, if it had a real body it would probably be stomping its feet with its arms crossed.

'Pfft, the only thing mighty about you is your latching skills, oh mighty Dawn system.' He mocked the system, hearing a small huff in return.

Zero got into the shower as he began bathing himself.

'So what can you do?' Zero was curious as he finished his shower leaving the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.

The system perked up at the chance to show of its extraordinary abilities, as it summoned up the system interface and it began explaining.

'Access my status information', Zero walked into the closet finding clothes that had one thing in common, they where all black.

There was also a drawer full of elbow length, black, gloves.

As Zero found some black jeans that fit perfectly and short sleeved button up shirt, he put them on along with the gloves, feeling better as the system showed his stats.

Zero stared at the screen interested. A normal, healthy person's stats would be at 10. In his past life he knew he was way bellow average, maybe around seven for his highest stat. Making him weak and sickly.

Zero went in front of the whole body mirror in his room, looking at his body that was not exactly the same as the one in his original world, this one was more masculer but still lean, looking athletic and fit not sickly and thin.
