Avu: Rahul you know about your mother?
Rahul looked down.
Rah: Not much. Just that they got divorced when I was too small. Mujhe to pata bhi nhi ki wo dikhti kaisi hai unka naam kya hai
He looked back at her.
Rah: Par hum unke baare mein baat kyo kar rahe hai?
Avu: Tumne mujhe Sana ki kasam di hai. Jhoot to nhi boloongi
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as if gathering courage. Rahul understood and squeezed her hand.
Rah: It's okk aunty. If you are uncomfortable....
Avu: (cuts him) Siddharth and me
She wet her lips with her tongue.
Avu: We were husband wife. Siddharth is my ex husband
She said in one breath. Rahul's eyes were widened. His hands started shaking and grip on her hand loosened.
Rah: Wh...wh..a..tt?
He asked in a trembling voice.
Avu: Rahul beta...
Rah: (cuts her) Hold on. Agar aap aur dad married the. To matlab Sana's father is my dad. Par usne to bola tha her father is no more. To usne mujhse jhooth kyu bola?
He said in confusion.
Avu: Usne tumse jhooth nhi bola. Usko jo pata tha usne wahi bataya
Rahul looked at her with a questioning look.
Avu: Our families didn't like us and were not happy with this marriage. So after divorce my father and younger brother told her that her father is dead because they hated him
Rah: What the hell? This...this all is...I..I don't know what is going on?
Avu: I know all this is too much for you to take in. But I am sorry yahi sach hai. I don't know you ever missed your mother. Tumhare papa aur dadu dadi ne mere baare mein kya bataya, kyu humne divorce lia
Rah: Unhone mujhe kuch nhi bola. Dad ne just chhote hote itna bola tha ki kuch problems ki wajah se divorce ho gia. Isse zyada na unhone kabhi bataya aur na hi maine poocha. Humne kabhi baat hi nhi ki. Mujhe nhi pata aap dono kyo alag hue. Hnn kabhi kabhi khayal aata tha but poochne ki himmat nhi hui. Ye sab baatein karke dad ko hurt nhi karna chahta tha
Meanwhile with Sid and Sana
Sid: Avneet meri ex wife hai. Aur mujhe nhi pata ki tumhe aesa kyu lagta hai ki tumhare dad zinda nhi hai. Kisne tumse bola hai ye. But if you believe me Avneet and me were married. Hum college time se saath the but shaadi ke baad kuch reasons ki wajah se humne divorce le lia. We had twins you and Rahul. Aur hamari dono ki salaries dekhte hue court ne order dia ki hum dono ko ek-ek bache ki custody milegi. Rahul ki custody mujhe mili thi aur tumhari Avneet ko. Uss time se hum log alag rehte hai
Sana was sitting quitely processing everything.
Sana: Mujhe nanu aur mamu ne bola tha ki tumhare papa iss duniya mein nhi hai. He is dead. Kyu?
Sid chuckled humorlessly.
Sid: As far as I know they hated me. Like my parents hated Avneet. To bol dia hoga
Sana: If you don't mind ek baat poochoo?
Sid: Waise bhi nhi karta par ab to meri beti ho ab to bilkul hi nhi kroonga
Sana: Jab Rahul mom ke peeche gya, I felt you were scared for something
Sid sighed.
Sid: I have already lost everything. Sirf ek wahi hai mere paas. Jab tumhare nanu nani bol rahe the ki Rahul hamare saath rahega aur wo peeche bhaag gya to I got scared. Mujhe nhi pata Avneet ne usse kya bola hoga. I just don't want to loose him.
He bit his lower lip to control his tears but no use. A tear rolled down his cheek. Sana wiped it with her thumb.
Sana: Mein nhi janti aap logo mein kya hua. Par mein itne saalo mein apni mom ko itna zaroor jaan gayi hu ki wo aesa kuch nhi krenge. She will not snatch Rahul from you. Mujhe beti bola na abhi aapne. To kisi aur par nhi to atleast apni beti par to trust kijie
Sid looked at her with teary eyes and pulled her in a hug.
