It's been a few weeks since I got back from Florence and I'm out in LA for some work stuff and Andrew is here aswell. I invite him to come watch me tape an appearance on Ellen and he's backstage with me as I'm getting ready "So you and your dad have made up then" he says as he's watching me get my make up done "Yeah. Us reconnecting made me realize I needed to move on from the past and focus on the present and the future" I say "Good. My mum called me the other day said you stopped by" he says "I did she fed me so much food and I cried and she cried when we started talking about my mom but it was good" I say "She said we have to all have dinner together next time I'm home" he says "Of course" I say "You wanna grab food after this" he says "Always" I say and he laughs and a producer calls five minutes til showtime "Good luck I'll be watching from here" he says "Thanks" I say.

I'm waiting for Ellen to introduce me and shaking off the nerves "My next guest is known for playing characters on stage such as Sophie from Mamma Mia and Fantine in Les Mis but she's becoming a household name in Hollywood following a successful film debut alongside Ezra Miller and she's now starring in her first solo project please welcome Aurora Moore" she says and I come out dancing a little as I do and I greet Ellen before sitting down "Welcome how are you" she says "Good happy to be here" I say "Your dad's American right what part of the US is he from" she says "My dad was born in Colorado lived there his entire life up until after college when he moved to Copenhagen weirdly for a job he's an architect and he got a job working for a firm over there and he met my mom who was from a smaller city called Helsingør really beautiful city and they got married fell in love after four months and had me a year later" I say "You lived there til you were five and then you moved to the UK right" she says "Yeah we moved that summer so I could start school that September my mom was a curator and she'd been offered a job at a museum in London but we moved to Epsom and she commuted everyday for work and my dad started his own company working from home mostly so he'd be there for school pick ups and all that" I say "You tragically lost your mom a few years ago is that right" she says "Yeah ovarian cancer it sucked. At the time I had been considering a move out of England to further my career but she got sick and it didn't feel right leaving at the time but afterwards I spent a year in Helsingør where she grew up and it helped me heal emotionally. She was my biggest supporter in everything I did, every school play, my first theatre performance she and my dad worked so hard to help me pursue my dream so I'm forever grateful to them both for all the love they gave me" I say "Beautiful words there. You also grew up with Andrew Garfield and you two are very close friends" she says "He was one of the first people I met my first day at school. I was the five year old with the funny accent and Andrew was the kid who wasn't afraid to say hello to me and invite me to play and sit with him. We grew up both on different paths me knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my life and Andrew struggling to find his dream but we both had these amazing mothers who always encouraged us and guided us through those doubts and insecurities to get us to where we are now and we were always there for each other. Yes I admit we lost touch when I stayed in the UK and Andrew moved to LA but we've never stopped supporting each other even if it's been unseen by the public but now we're back in each others lives and he's my best friend again" I say

"We love Andrew here and we can't wait to have him back on the show in a few weeks. You starred alongside Ezra Miller who's also a close friend of yours do they get along" she says "They do. We hung out when we were all in New York together which was fun we saw a drag show together had way too much to drink. I'm lucky I have two incredible people like Andrew and Ezra in my life. I love them both from the bottom of my heart to me my friends are my family so those two mean alot to me" I say "I have to ask about your romantic life you've always been quite hush hush about it is their anyone special in your life" she says "Currently no. I guess I'm kinda old fashioned and I'm holding out for that one great love of my life. I grew up surrounded by some pretty epic love stories from my parents to my grandparents and I guess I just want my own love story" I say "I think that's a beautiful way to look at love" she says. We talk about my movies and other upcoming things before we finish.

After a quick change Andrew and I head out for food and I notice him looking at me weirdly throughout "Why are you looking at me like that" I ask "The thing you said about an epic love story did you mean that?" he asks "Yes. My dad met my mom in another country and they fell in love after four months, moved to another country for her and he stuck by her side through cancer until she died, my grandparents survived being torn apart by war that kind of love is something you see in movies and its epic and all consuming of course I'd want that" I say "I guess I never realised you'd never been in love before" he says "I have just not on that level I maybe came close but not yet" I say "I've known you almost my entire life and I never knew that about you" he says "There are some things I keep secret even from you" I say and we finish our lunch.
