Get the Closure You Need

Andrew is home for the next couple of weeks before he starts filming in New York for a couple of months. We're having some friends over for an early birthday for Andrew as he'll be away for his actual birthday and it's our first time hosting a party at our house. Whilst I'm getting ready Andrew is playing with Atlas on the bed whilst I'm doing my makeup "There's something I need your advice on" he says sitting up and placing Atlas on his lap "You know I'm always listening" I say "I got a call from Amy Pascal and Kevin Fiege" he says and I give him my full attention "Okay" I say "They want me to come back for the new Spiderman with Tom and Tobey" he says "And your asking me if you should do it" I say "You know how hurt I was when they didn't continue with my Spiderman and I've gotten over that and I've done so many incredible things since but I've always felt like that chapter of my life has always been missing an ending" he says "You loved being Spiderman I know you did and I know you have nothing but love for Tom and what he's done and admiration for Tobey and what he did. Get the closure you need either way Atlas is gonna grow up knowing his daddy was a superhero both on screen and in real life" I say "Thank you my love you always give the best advice" he says "Its what I'm here for that and birthing the most adorable baby boy I've ever seen" I say and kiss Atlas and then Andrew.

The party is in full swing and I'm very much playing the role of the hostess tonight. Jamie and Amelia are here as is Eddie and his wife Hannah and their kids and Charlie and his kids and wife and I get everyone's attention by lowering the music and clinking a knife against my wine glass "Hi. You all know me or you wouldn't be here but in case you don't I'm Aurora performer, Atties mama and fiancée to the man we're all here to celebrate tonight the dashingly handsome Andy my best friend and also my husband to be. I've spent many birthdays with Andrew over the years all of which have their own distinct memories like the one where he refused to take off the Spiderman costume his m um made him when he was a kid and boy did that thing begin to stink. He was devasted when it no longer fit but I guess he made up for it when he got to actually be Spiderman. I love many things about Andrew his passion, his huge heart, what an amazing dad he is and many other things but I won't bore you with all of those. I love you and I can't wait to spend every birthday with you for the rest of our lives. To Andrew" I say and everyone cheers and Andrew comes over and kisses me quite passionately throwing a dip in there.

The party winds down and I have one last surprise for Andrew. He comes in after putting Atlas down to sleep "Thank you for tonight this has been one of my favourite birthdays ever might even top getting high at Disneyland" he says "Your welcome. I have one more gift for you" I say "Okay" he says "We've spoken about trying for baby no.2 and we got the all clear from the doctor to start trying. So I went shopping the other day and bought something for the occasion" I say and I open my dressing gown to reveal a lacey lingerie set "If we don't make baby no.2 tonight I'll change nappies for the next two months no matter how bad" he says and he comes over and pulls me to him and we try for baby no.2 more than once that night.

The plan was always for Atlas and I to stay here in the UK whilst Andrew spent the next few months in New York and then he'd go to Atlanta for a few weeks. But I've changed my mind and freed up my schedule for the next while so now we're both packing to live in New York for the next several months where we'll spend Andrew's birthday and most likely Atlas's first birthday because as a family we can't bare to be apart from each other. We're even bringing Doc with us as Atlas has grown very attached to him and he likes to sleep in the nursery with Atlas at night which is very cute.
