It was already afternoon when Rindou and (y/n) returned inside of their university. They decided to skip their subjects for the rest of the day and stay at their "secret" spot. It is Rindou's idea to call that rooftop their secret spot. Of course, (y/n) had no choice but to give in to her new friend's request. They did nothing but talk about their lives. They took advantage of the time to get to know each other. As usual, Rindou did all the talking while (y/n) intently listened to him.

"Where the two of you have been? You two ditched classes? Rindou, where did you take (y/n)? Are you influencing some 'bad' things to my friend?"  Hinata asked the two of them one after another. (Y/n) would be lying if she said she didn't find Hinata's reaction shocking. She side-eyed the taller guy to see his reaction. Coincidentally, he is also side-eyeing (y/n) while plastering his playful smirk. (Y/n) shook her head as she bit her lip to stop herself from smiling.

"Oi! he's not doing anything bad to me, Hinata," (y/n) said to defend Rindou. Hinata quickly apologized for her last question but looked at him with narrowed eyes. Well, Hinata can't be blamed for her hostility towards the younger Haitani. She heard a lot of nasty things about the Haitani Brothers of Roppongi. And, the source of those unpleasant things that she heard is no other than Hakkai Shiba---who still has a grudge at the Haitani brothers, especially Ran, for beating up his captain-- Mitsuya Takashi. So, Hinata became concerned when she noticed that one of the Haitani brothers was making a move to her friend.

"I am not doing anything bad to her. In fact, I just helped her to have peace of mind," Rindou proudly informed Hinata. He flashed a Cheshire cat grin as he maintained eye contact with Hinata. (Y/n) also smiled broadly at the younger Haitani's confidence. Hinata looked at (y/n) for a second opinion, and the latter nodded in agreement. Hinata's expression became relaxed.

"Okay,"

Before she could even forget, (y/n) nudged Rindou and signaled him to raise his concern to Hinata. He mentioned to (y/n) earlier that he's going to ask something Hinata that's why he was at the office earlier. Rindou gave her a confused look. It seems like he already forgot it. So, (y/n) had no choice but to mouth the word "schedule." Luckily, he quickly picked up what (y/n) said.

"I'll see you around, 'angel.' Be well," Rindou bid goodbye at her when his concern was fixed by Hinata.

The room became quiet as if an angel had passed. Hinata looked at (y/n) as the corner of her mouth quirked up. (Y/n) cocked her head as she squinted her eyes at her friends.

"So Rindou, huh?" Hinata slyly said before smirking. Like Emma, Hinata doesn't know why Rindou is making himself close to her friend. Hinata is trying to solve the puzzling actions of Rindou Haitani towards her friends. And no matter how much she denies it, she's still arriving at the same answer.

"No." (y/n) promptly replied to her friend. Hinata's brows raised. Her sly smirk didn't leave her face. Knowing the fact that Hinata likes detective stories, (Y/n) is so sure that Hinata will not stop bugging her. Not unless (y/n) will give the answers to Hinata's question. But of course, (y/n) is a stubborn girl. She will not give in to Hinata's plea.
