How do you react when someone says that they love you? Are you going to shrug it off? Chuckle as a response? Or Are you going to say those words too? Most people didn't even know how to respond to that phrase. Some might shrug those words off. And some will take it as a joke. However, those three words and eight letters aren't just shallow sentences. It goes deep within our souls and makes us whole. There are times that "I love you" completes the missing piece in our hearts.
And that is what (y/n) felt whenever Izana says those words. At first, she played it cool—thinking that Izana uttered it by mistake. However, Izana says those words more frequently. So, it made (y/n) have second thoughts about it. (Y/n) is clever enough to get what Izana wanted to rely on. Yet, something's holding her back from believing her intuition.
"It seems like you and Izana became closer after his one-week stay at your apartment," (Y/n) glanced at her companion before answering.
"Yeah," she replied to Rindou. The two are currently hanging out at their usual spot. It is actually their free time, so they decided to go to the rooftop for fresh air."You two are on the same page now," Rindou said. (y/n) chuckled.
Yes, Izana and (y/n) are already on the same page. It's about time to open their hearts and begin again.
"Rindou, how do you respond to 'I love you," (y/n) asked. Rindou wide-eyed her."Why? did Izana say 'I love you to you?" Rindou chuckled at (y/n). To be honest, Rindou couldn't picture Izana saying those words. And if ever Izana says "I love you," it is the end of the world.
"Yes?"
"What!?" Rindou shouted.
"Yes," (y/n) confirmed.
"Are you kidding? Really?" Rindou exasperated.
"It's true" (y/n) tried to convince Rindou.
"Oh my God," Rindou said, mouth agape.
It took time for Rindou to process everything. The world is ending--that is what the younger Haitani thought. Who would've thought that the great Izana Kurokawa is becoming softer when he's around (y/n). And, who would've also thought Izana would show that version of himself to (y/n).
"I thought you're an arrogant bastard," Rindou muttered.
"What?" (y/n) asked Rindou when she heard him mutter something.
"I said...I think you should know your real feelings towards him," Rindou coaxed. "Like, get your shit together, and you know," Rindou tried to explain his statement.
"Maybe...deep inside your heart, you have feelings for him. Not platonic love," Rindou added.
Rindou didn't know how did he came up with that kind of excuse.
"Are you serious?" (y/n) couldn't contain her laughter at Rindou's statement.
No. That can't be true. (Y/n) only sees Izana as her older brother, whom she treasures the most. So, she can't see Izana as more than a friend and a brother.
