You were not in the mood for a conversation right now, but reluctantly you went.

Traveling inside and to the other end of the house, you rehearsed what you were going to say in your mind.

You walked down a long hall, then reached two double wooden doors. His main servant, Ansel, stood outside the doors with his hand's behind his back. He saw you then lightly knocked on the door, ''She's here sir,'' he said to the wood. A few seconds passed, then you heard your father say, ''Send her in.''

Ansel held the door open as you walked in. Your father was standing behind his desk, looking out the window with his hands holding each other behind his back.

A few minutes passed before he spoke....

''My father and his father before him, brought this house up from ruin and were lucky to find gold mines nearby to claim and establish wealth from,'' he started.

He continued. ''Like most families, we had good years and bad, BUT we NEVER mocked OUR name by associating with CRIMINALS or CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!''

He then turned around. ''YOU have RECEIVED everything YOU needed and what most only dream of having! You have been set up with some of the most prominent men, yet you reject them and take in a criminal!''

These talks or guilt trips, ALWAYS made you feel like a scummy person! This was one of your fathers talent's.

''I just helped him,'' you said quietly.

''BY HELPING HIM ESCAPE JUSTICE AND INVITING HIM INTO YOUR BED?!'' your father shouted.

''Bad enough we have your sister's perversion to deal with, but now your adding assisting criminals?! WE COULD ALL LOSE OUR HEADS!'' he roared again.

''Ansel!'' he yelled. Ansel came in quickly. ''Gather that creature and have our guards HANG him!......she can watch,'' he said.

''He already left,'' you quickly said.

Your father walked around his desk and leaned into your face. ''I suppose that's good for you then.......if I EVER see him, I'll have my best archer put him down,'' he quietly said.

Your father looked at you and made a head notion toward the door. ''Now, go,'' he said coldly.

As you walked out and down the halls, you could pretty much tell that you were kind of disowned.

You went straight to your room and to your bed. Didn't undress or anything. Jacques's scent was still on the pillows. You sniffed one deeply as you held it close to you as you drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, everything seemed SO lonely. You wish he would of taken you with him, but knew he couldn't. Worst thing was you knew your father was going to punish you, but how?

You were always being compared to your OTHER sister. ''Why couldn't you marry and breed to further the family line?'' Truth being, that wasn't you. You couldn't be sold off as some ''brood mare,'' but that's how your father saw it. The family name was the only importance to him.

The day was clear out, so you decided to walk along the beach.  It wasn't the same. You were used to having a big bear beside you, now, nothing. The sand sun just in between your toes as kicking some as well. A rock stuck out in the water with starfishes stuck to it. What you wouldn't give to hear Jacques call you 'starfish.'

As water crashed on the rocks and washed up on the shore, you heard voices and more voices piling up near the front. When you walked to where the commotion was, you saw that it was city official guards.

In a way, you knew what they were here for. YOU. Your father must of notified them to ''teach you a lesson.'' They then charged inside. You were scared. You placed your back against the wall and held onto it. Hoping that they wouldn't find you and leave. A few went outside and then one of them found you at the side. When one found you, he shouted to the others and they all surrounded you as you slowly slid down and hugged your knee's.

One by one, more showed up and pointed their spears at you. They surrounded you as you cowered in fear.  Slowly the guards parted to the side as the main officer approached. He stopped and looked at you and then said, ''you are under arrest for assisting a criminal to escape justice.''

Afterward, he looked to the side and gave a nod. Two soldiers went in and hauled you away....
