                               (Short Chapter)

You read for a little while longer until you decided to place the book on the bed stand and went to sleep as well. Both of you had a deep and solid seven hour nap. After you both woke, both of you packed some items, but then you saw Jacques polishing and placing on his armor. You looked as your eyebrows knitted a little.

''You have a carriage you will be riding in as I'll take your horse and ride beside,'' Jacques said.

''There are still rebels and bandits in the area'' he added.

''I'm capable of handling myself,'' you said.

''I know you are, but not armor less against a blade,'' Jacques intervened.

He was right. You had NO armor OR blade. You still didn't like the idea. ''What about you?'' you said with a hint of worry.

''I'll be fine, I'm placing on the other sword so I have two on me and a dagger. Plus, i need to direct the way,'' he said.

''I know the way back,'' you retaliated.

''We're NOT going back....I'm taking you to the Westerlands,'' Jacques finished.

You were speechless. This was VERY unexpected. You and Jacques could start your lives together. Inside, you were beaming with happiness, but curiosity as well.

Not once, have you EVER visited anywhere in the west. You have read about it and seen some photos, but that was it. You looked forward to a new adventure.

Plus, you had Jacques. You knew he would always be there to protect you or any of his future heirs. Sometimes, you caught yourself thinking about what they were going to look like or what you would name them.

The sound of Jacques putting on his armor snapped you out of your thoughts. He looked so handsome in it. The bulk of it was a navy type color. As he placed on some armor like gloves, it was time to leave. Like he said, he had two swords ready to draw.

Before you left, you thanked the inn keep for their services and signed out. There was no need to pay since you did beforehand. You then left to go outside and just like Jacques had said, there was a carriage there for you.

You saw your carriage then saw Jacques climb up onto your horse. He waited for you to step in. You were a ravishing sight. Your hair was all fixed in a hairstyle with the sapphire hair clips. A low cut, long sleeve blue velvet gown was chosen to show off his necklace too. Your face had been painted, but not much though.

It was difficult for him to watch you disappear. He could of put a hole in his chainmail to be honest. Wouldn't be long before he would make you HIS. Then when the time comes, make little princes and princesses. He also made the decision to hang up his armor and fighting. He wasn't going to put you through ANY more fear!

As you stepped inside, you were ment by such lavishness! This was something that royalty or dignitaries would ride in. The carriage took off as u sat on the violet crushed velvet bench. Jacques could be seen with a simple glance out the window.

All day you traveled and did not even put a dent in towards your destination! It was night out and you glanced out the window to see Jacques trying to stay alert. You banged on the wall signaling the driver to stop. After movement ceased, you went outside.

''Is everything alright?!'' Jacques asked.

''Yes, but you're not,'' you said placing your hand on his leg.

''I'm fine,'' Jacques retaliated.

''No you're not, you have been riding ALL day WITHOUT ANY food, plus you're starting to slouch over the horse,'' you finished.

He couldn't argue since you were right. He slid off the horse, tied it to the back, and followed you inside.

You went to the picnic basket and got some food for him. He sat down and gnawed at everything real fast. It was definitely clear that he WAS hungry. After, you saw his darkened eye's and knew he needed some rest. You removed his top part of armor off him and led him to the other bench.

There, he laid down on the soft seat. You lifted his head and placed a pillow underneath it. Then you took one of the spare blanket's and covered his body. You sat down on the floor to be at his level. Your hand weaved it's way though his locks, hearing a happy sigh from him. ''Get some rest,'' you whispered as you gently kissed the corner of his mouth.

He then pulled the blanket up past his nose and closed his eyes. You dimmed the lights inside and got ready for sleep yourself.
