Yongsun
I was head to toe anxious I couldn't feel anything other than my heart beating rapidly inside my ribcage. Taeyeon sent the location of where we were going to meet, and I was both mesmerized and apprehensive when the cab driver pulled up outside a place where the vast city view could be seen. It was kind of romantic for friends to book a reservation in this type of restaurant, and that idea just made me more uncomfortable.
The waiter guided me to the table taeyeon had reserved for the night and I breathed in relief when it was still empty, signifying Taeyeon hadn't arrived yet. The guy asked me if I should order something to eat but I told him I'd wait for my friend first, to which he smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. I smile at the guy, grateful for escorting me to here as he bows his head lightly, before leaving me alone.
Silence engulfed my table as I was the only one in this area. I could hear the faint clashes of utensils and plates on the other side of the restaurant, but all in all, it was peaceful. I looked around first before my eyes fixed on the overlooking view upfront and I was beyond fascinated by its beauty. The way bright lights flickered, the way little cars moved, and the way stars shone above the horizon.. it was enchanting.
"I'm right. That dress looks good on you."
I might have been so enthralled by the view that I didn't notice taeyeon already arrived, wearing a dress the same color as mine. I didn't have the chance to say anything as she leant forward and placed a quick kiss on my cheek before she took her seat across from mine.
She was the one who told me to wear the dress she bought for me last time, and now we look like a couple on a date with our almost look-alike dress. But hey, we look beautiful in our own way despite wearing the same clothing.
"Did I make you wait too long?" She asked after she sat comfortably and it was my cue to shake my mind out of the gutter.
I was completely stupefied when she kissed my cheek all of a sudden yet I instantly assured myself it was nothing even if it felt really weird. I mean, it's not that she hadn't kissed me before, but her, doing it right now.. felt unusual.
"No, I just got here. Don't worry."
Taeyeon smiled at my response and raised her hand to get the attention of the waiter standing not too far away from us. The guy immediately heeds taeyeon's call as he shortly strides towards our direction, readying his small notepad to write our order.
"So, let's order?"
--The dinner was lovely, the food was delicious, and the view was remarkable. Taeyeon kept telling stories and cracking hilarious jokes all the time that was enough for me to forget the odd feeling I felt when she arrived.
We've asked random questions to each other too and I asked her about how she discovered this place. She told me it was her first time here either and she had just found this restaurant online. She said we both needed to go somewhere new, to which gladly, she found this place while browsing the net."Yong, let's watch the stars."
I was pulled out from my thoughts as I heard taeyeon talk beside me. I raise my head to see the stars shining right above us, and she's right, this place is beautiful for stargazing. I looked at her as she stood and grabbed my hand, which I immediately set aside the blanket that was covering my thighs and stood up with her.
Taeyeon dragged me to the telescope and positioned its lens high in the sky. She tried it first, gaping in awe at what she was seeing, smiling to herself while pulling me close to her and advising me to try it myself. I did what she instructed me to do, closing one eye and pressing the other one on the telescope.. and oh my god. All I could mutter to myself was the word "wow."
