"Yong yong yong yoooong!!!"
Wheein repeatedly pounds the door of yongsun's room, allowing herself in without the permission of the woman snuggling on her fluffy stuffed dog. Yongsun is still sound asleep in her bed when her friend's intrusion wakes her up instantly. She squinted her eyes at wheein's smiling figure standing on the edge of the bed and immediately scowl when the woman yank the blanket away from her.
Yongsun bet this is wheein's favorite pastime every moment she enters her room-- to bring disaster into yongsun's life. Or let's just simply say, to not let yongsun think about unnecessary incidents that happened in the past. Her friends were both convinced that if they kept distracting her with useless things, yongsun would eventually forget the demons that kept bugging her inside. So far, it was effective.
"What do you want, wheein?" She groans, fighting for dominance as she tugged the blanket back to her. But wheein was having none of it, she drank coffee and ate her breakfast, of course, she is stronger than Yongsun at the moment. So Yongsun's futile fight comes to an end when Wheein completely takes the sheet away and folds it neatly.
"Because hyejin said to wake your sleepy ass up. For heaven's sake, it's lunchtime already. Stop sleeping and be productive. Look at you, it seems like all the blood has already drained out from your face."
Yongsun weakly raised her body using her elbows. She wanders her eyes in the room, trying to see if it's afternoon already. Her room was dark as the window is shut resulting for the sunlight to stay outside. She tried to look at the clock and just groaned when she can't vividly tell what time is it already.
"It's lunch? I thought it was still dawn." Yongsun said, voice hoarse from sleeping as she slowly sat up.
Wheein was folding the blanket and collecting the scratch papers on the floor that Yongsun had forgotten to clean up after writing her manuscript the night before.
Her room was a complete shambles. Papers are on the floor, and clothes are unfolded in the chair. At first glance, it appears that this room does not belong to a grown-up woman. She's just thankful that her friends occasionally clean it for her or people who would see this room would probably judge her for life.
Yongsun's mental note for today: clean her room.
"Dawn your face, open the curtains and let the sunlight in. The sun is already burning people's eyes, and yet here you are, in your bed, as if someone is paying you for sleeping all day."
Yongsun limps over to the window and peers out. Wheein was correct; it's already noon, and everyone in the neighborhood are busy about how to live their lives. She simply didn't notice since she was always in her room, sleeping, like a dying sick cow in a barn.
"Ah, I thought it was still raining. Rainy season is over then," Yongsun murmured, stretching her limbs and yawning while rubbing her eyes.
A storm hit the city the other day, causing moderate flooding in some areas. But now that the storm has passed through the city, the rain has been replaced by scorching heat. The heat has the ability to burn people's skin in minutes. It was scary to the point they hate going outside. They have lost track of what is going on in the world. All they know is that staying outside for a longer length of time is dangerous.
Yongsun shrugged her shoulder again and walked back to her bed, immediately laying in bed when the mattress hit her buttocks. She just can't get enough of it. The softness and fluffiness are good enough reasons for her lack of efficiency. It's as if a spell was cast in her bed, and she hasn't been able to get out of it. She just wants to lay around all day.
