Saving Grace

Chapter 15

Grace's POV

It's been a couple of days since me and Connor went shopping for the ring. Matt and Connor just left for their dinner date and hike. Me and everyone else was busy getting ready and making the final calls to confirm the photographers for later this evening.

"Grace, remember to wear comfortable shoes tonight." Jc said to me from the couch. He's been feeling better so we're letting him come with us. "Thanks sweetie."

"Grace, your mom just called. She said she is unable to make it to the proposal but she'll come to the party if we have one." "Thanks Ricky." I looked at the time on my phone and it was about time to get ready. "Hey guys! I'd recommend you start getting ready now."

I walked back to me and Jc's room and I started to go through the closet. "Jc! What should I wear!?" I yelled in to the hallway. "Wear a dress! Maybe with some Toms or sandals!"

I searched around in my closet until I found the perfect outfit. I got dressed then I started to curl my hair. "You look amazing this evening Grace." I looked up and Jc was in the doorway. "Remember, it's about Matt and Connor. Not us."

I searched through the closet for something that Jc could wear. "Here you go." I gave him a navy blue button down and a pair of nice jeans. "You could wear your black Vans with this if you want."

I grabbed the camera battery off of the charger and I put it into my own volgging camera. Seems like everyone decided that I should start a YouTube channel, so I did. They even got me my first good camera.

Right now I only have one video up and it's a daily volg from yesterday. My channel name is MsGrace'sVlogs and it has a couple thousand subscribers.

I left my room and I hit the record button on the camera. "Good morning guys and girls! It actually isn't morning anymore is it? This is my second vlog for this channel and I'm enjoying it so much!"

Jc came out of our room, "and here is my wonderful boyfriend Jc Caylen! I'll leave a link in the description for the boyfriend/girlfriend tag that we did on his channel." He gave me a kiss on the cheek and got out of the shot.

"As you can tell by the title, there is going to be a huge surprise for my brother later this evening and everyone is getting ready for it now." I walked around the house doing a little bit of explaining then I stopped recording.

"Common Grace let's go! We don't want to be late." I walked out the door and we all got into Ricky's car. Which was a tight fit seeing Trevor was with us. I hit the record button on my camera again. "We're all in the car and it's a tight fit!"

My text tone went off and it was a text from Connor. "Oh! A text from Connor. You guys they're getting ready to leave the restaurant now." I stopped recording and Ricky continued on driving to the Hollywood sign.

We eventually got there with a few minutes to spare. We met the photographers then we started to hike up. When we go up there we positioned them so where they won't be seen but they can get good shots. I got the final text from Connor saying they were half way up so we hid ourselfs to play the waiting game.

I hit the record button on the camera, "so we're here at the sign and I'm waiting with Jc and Trevor for Matt and Connor to show up." I whispered. I turned my camera to where the action was going to be happening.

After waiting for a couple of minutes Matt and Connor finally showed up. They talked for a little bit and they also took a selfie. We slowly and quietly moved closer so my mic can pick it up.

"Hey Matt look over there!" Connor pointed in a general direction and my brother looked that way. "Connor there is nothing over here besides a beautiful sky." When Matt finally turned around Connor was down on his knee with the ring box opened.

Matt was in complete shock. Connor grabbed Matt's hand, "Matthew James, will you marry me?" There was silence for a few seconds. "Yes I will marry you!" Connor got up and hugged Matt.

Connor put the ring on Matt's left ring finger and the six of us exit the bushes. "Omg!" Matt was in shock at seeing us. "Congrats Matt!" I said when I hugged my brother.

"Grace? Did you have anything to do with this?" Matt asked when we broke away from our hug. "Oh she had every thing to do with it Matt." Connor said wrapping his arm around Matt's shoulder.

"If she hadn't helped me out, none of this would've happened." Connor said. "True story." I said to my camera that was still recording. I stopped recording and turned off my camera.

"So what are your guy's plans for the rest of the evening?" I asked Connor and Matt on our way back down to the cars. "I got us a hotel room for the night and tomorrow we're going to look at apartments."

"Wait why?" I asked being very confused. "The lease on the house is almost up. Sam's mom wants him to move back home and same with Kian's mom too." Connor said.

"Jc! What are we going to do once the lease is up?" I asked running towards him. "It's all up to you babe." Jc wrapped his arm around me. "We can rent another house or a nice apartment."

"I know there is an extra apartment available for rent in the complex that I'm looking at but its a loft." Ricky said when we finally got to the cars. "I think this is a discussion for another time. Matt, Connor, have fun. See you guys when you get home."

I hugged my older brother and I didn't want to let go. "Don't worry Grace, I'll be home before you know it." I joined everyone in the car and we started to head home.

When we got home I pulled out my camera again. "I'm sorry this vlog is short but I'm going to end it here. I love all of your wonderful faces and I will see you tomorrow in another vlog! Bye!" I cover up the lens with my hand and I stopped recording.

Before I plugged in my phone for the night my text tone went off.
