Grace's POV

When I woke up I wasn't in my room, but in a hotel. I looked over and Sammy was still sound asleep. I walked in the bathroom and poured some shampoo on my hand. "Wake up Sammy!" I smacked him with the shampooed hand. "What the hell Grace! What time is is?"

"Well good morning to you too. It's eleven in the morning." He got out of bed and went into the bathroom. I heard water turn on and off. When Sammy came back out his face was clean. "I get to go back to the guys today!" I said jumping on his side of the bed after he got back under the covers. "But I want to go back to sleep and not drive you around."

"Well on the contrary my dear older brother. You did complete your fair share of driving me around, therefore mother is bring me back to the guys." I said in a horrible British accent. "You know you do a horrible British accent." He said in a very good accent. "I'm going to get ready."

I hopped in the shower and started to scrub my body. When I got out I got dressed in my outfit (media bar). I wonder how the guys where doing.

Jc's POV

~The other night~

We're all sitting in the rec area of the station eating some sandwiches. Man I missed Grace so much. I can't stop thinking about her. Just then the alarm goes off sending us out plus the rest of the battalion to a structure fire.

I gear up and hop up to my seat behind the captain. The other three guys are on the ladder truck. "Station 3 in-route to location. ETA five minutes." The captain said in the radio. "10-4 station 3."

We pull up to a fully involved building. "Station 3 at location. We have a fully involved structure, send out a second alarm." He said into the radio. "Castillo, Franta, I want a one and a half in on the lower level. Dillon, Mathars, follow behind and get the upper level."

We got the line off the back of the engine and went in. The engineer turned on the water and we were putting out the flames. "Connor! there is a guy over there!" We laid down our line. The building started to creak, "Everyone get the hell out now! This building is about to go!"

I picked up the man and Connor got the line. "Captain! This building can go any minute now is there anymore missing people?" I said to our Captain. "There was only one person missing but it looks like you got him out." The building creaked again but this time it was louder.

"Everyone get back!" I took the man back to where the paramedics were waiting to treat him. Then the building collapsed. It was a couple of more minutes before everyone was back at trying to put the fire out.

At midnight we finally arrived back at the station. We all took turns in the showers getting all the ash off our bodies. After everyone was done we climbed in our separate bunks praying that the alarm won't go off anytime in the evening.

~Morning~

I'm so thankful the alarm didn't go off sending us on another run. I can't wait to get home to Grace and my own bed.

Once the new shift was in for the day we all burst out of there wanting to get back home. Connor drove us home and by Taco Bell for some lunch. "Can you hurry up Connor I want to get home." I said and I took a ship of my drink. "You want to see my sister don't you?" Matt asked me. "Maybe. I've missed her."

"I'm not looking forward to when we have a two day shift and we have to leave Grace with our mother again." I looked over at him, "I completely forgot about two day shifts, and I ain't looking forward to them either." I took another drink of my Mountain Dew.

When we pulled up to the house there was three cars in the driveway. Which includes mine, Ricky, and Kian & Sam's cars. "Hey slow poke do you want to come inside or not?" Matt said into the park car which I'm still sitting in. "Oh yeah I'll be in a second."
