Saving Grace

Chapter 16

Jc's POV

When I woke up from a nap at five in the evening after being alone all day, I notice my Twitter feed is blowing up. When I checked my feed it was 5SOS fans, my fans, and some of Grace's fans blowing it up. All of them had links or images and they were wanting my to check them out.

I heard our bedroom door open and close. When I looked up from my phone Grace was there with an arms full of bags. "Where have you been Grace? It's nearly five in the evening!" I looked at one of the tweets and it had a link to a blog post. "I was out shopping. And I didn't want to wake you earlier this morning to tell you that I was leaving."

I started to read the article out loud so that she can hear. "Internet vlogger Grace Mathars spotted in the outside shopping strip in LA with 5SOS band member Michael Clifford. We all adore Jc and Grace as a couple but was there a secret break up that we don't know about? Maybe the reason why Grace hasn't posted a vlog for us today is because she was to busy crying over being dumped."

I handed my phone to Grace, "we all know Michael is a big hit with the ladies especially with his new outrageous hair color. Is Michael and Grace just friends or something more? If so where does that leave Grace's last beau Jc?" She handed my phone back to me.

Grace's POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm at seven in the morning. I got up and I got dressed in a cute outfit. I pulled up my hair into a high ponytail. I put on my glasses and I grabbed my purse then I left my room.

Mikey - hey I'm almost there. U ready?

Me- yeah.

I heard a car pull up into the drive way. I left the house and I closed the door behind me. I got in the passenger side of the car.

"So have you been Mikey?" I asked the blue colored hair driver. "I'm well. We have a show coming up this weekend. You should come."

"Yeah totally. I need to start my daily vlog." I pulled out my camera as Michael started to drive away. "Good morning guys and girls! Today I'm going out shopping with my cousin Michael."

I pointed the camera towards him. "You may recognize him from 5SOS. Because he is from 5SOS!" I turned the camera back on me, "so I think we are going to go shopping and who knows what else." I turned off my camera.

"So where are we going?" I asked. "I think the strip mall downtown. Can you see without your glasses?"

"Not very well. I might run into a couple of things." He rubbed his temple, "do you have prescription sunglasses on you?"

"Yeah I do. Why?" He parked his car in a nearby parking lot. "There might be a lot of paparazzi." He slipped on a hat and got out of the car. I put on prescription sunglasses and I got out of the car.

We started to head towards started to head towards downtown and I pulled out my camera. I hit the record button, "so we are now in downtown LA and we are about to go shopping! Hey Michael, can we get a quick bite to eat? I didn't have breakfast this morning."

"Yeah sure. Want Panera Bread?" Michael asked. "Yeah that sounds good."

We walked in and we ordered some food. I got a chocolate chip bagel and an iced green tea. Michael got the same thing. When I was reaching for my wallet Michael stopped me. "My treat Grace. For my favorite cousin."

When our names were called out a group of teenaged girls looked up at us. We got ourselves a booth and right before we started to eat the group of teenage girls came up to us.

"Are you Michael from 5 Seconds of Summer?" One of them asked. "Yeah. Do you guys want a picture?" The girls started to squeal in excitement.

"Hey Grace, can you take the pictures?" Michael asked me. "Yeah sure." "Wait who the hell are you? Are you two dating?" Another girl asked me.
