Saving Grace

Chapter 7

Jc's POV

I was driving down to the station with Grace in shot gun and Matt in the back seat third wheeling it. We were listening to the radio and racing the guys in Ricky's car. Then we pulled into the station's parking lot.

We all went in and through security together then we went to sit in the waiting room. Then a man dressed in a suit came out towards us. "Hello everyone, I'm Detective Wall and I'll be asking you guys some questions. So first I would like to talk to a Mr. Justin Castillo."

I got up and followed the man out of the waiting room and into a questioning room. "Please have a seat Mr. Castillo." I took a seat in the chair. "So I'm going to ask you a few questions ok?" I just nodded my head then everything began.

"So how long have you known Matthew and Grace Mathars?" "I've known Matthew for about five years and Grace for a year and half." He wrote my answer on a notepad. "How long have you been aware of the problems of Mr. Mathars?" "Ever since I meet Matthew. He felt so bad for leaving his sister in a place like that because they are so close." He made a note on the paper.

"Does Grace have any marks of her abuse?" "Yes she does." He made another note. "Can you tell me what they look like, location, and cause?" "She has a scar going down her back from being pushed down the stairs by her father. Permanent handcuff marks from her father raping her. Finally a scar under her chin from a knife which she covers up with make up."

"Now who is the next closes person to Matthew and Grace?" "Connor Franta." he wrote more on the notepad. "Thank you Mr. Castillo for coming in. That will be all." We both got up from are chairs then headed out into the waiting room. I was greeted with a hug from Grace then I sat down.

"Mr. Connor Franta, would you please follow me."

Connor's POV

Jc came out with Detective Wall and Grace ran up and hugged him. They both sat down then the detective spoke up. "Mr. Connor Franta, would you please follow me." I got up from my chair next to Matt and Ricky. I followed then detective into a room and he pointed at a chair so I sat down.

"Alright Mr. Franta I'm going to be asking you some questions so lets begin. How have you known Matthew and Grace Mathars?" "I've known them for a long time because my family has a beach house in North Carolina and my mom is very good friends with Matthew and Grace's mother." He wrote something down on a piece of paper. "Have you known about the problem Mr. Mathars has?" "Yes I'm fully aware of it because of Matthew being my best friend and I used to spend a lot of time at their house." He made a note.

"What where you doing at the time of the brake-in?" "I was downstairs on my laptop while three of my other roommates where watching a movie except for Matthew how was upstairs." Yet another note. "Thank you Mr. Franta for your time." I walked out of the room and back into the waiting room where I took my seat. "To save time I would like Mr. Dillon, Mr. Lawley, and Mr. Pottorff."

Ricky's POV

Connor came out and sat down next to me. "To save time I would like Mr. Dillon, Mr. Lawley, and Mr. Pottorff." Me, Kian, and Sam all got up and followed the man back to a room. "Alright you guys I'm going to be asking you guys some questions but I'm going need each of you to take your turns. So lets begin."

"How long have you guys known Matthew and Grace?" "I've known Matthew for about five years and Grace for a year and a half." I say and the dude makes a note."I've known Matthew for about three years and Grace for two." Kian says. "I've known Matthew for three years and Grace for a year and a half." Sam says.

"Have you guys been aware of Mr. Mathar's problems?" "I have because I've known Matthew a little bit longer then them." I said while pointing my thumb at Kian and Sam. "I really known what was going on until Grace came out here to California." Kian says. "Yeah same here." Sam says.
