By the time you woke up from your force nap beside Hunter it was already the next day. Morning light poured through the window, you yawned and sat up looking around. You felt a light weight on your lap and pulled up the blanket. Sage was ticket on your lap sleeping, not wanting to wake her up you gently scooped her up in your hands and place her on your pillow.
You stepped off the bed and pulled the blankets over to her to keep her warm, You looked around and noticed Hunter already left for his new mission. His cloak and mask as well as his staff was missing.
Walking over to your own wardrobe you grabbed a new fresh set of clothes. Once you washed off all the grime and dirt from yesterday you changed in top your new clothes and sat down on your bed. You were free from any missions to recover, but paperwork was still piling up. Although you and Hunter were fairly young you were assigned with a bit of basic paperwork.
Walking over to your desk you glanced around and noticed the pouch Hooty gave you last time. You were curious about what the contents were inside but you knew you had to complete your work first.
"...I miss him..."

You were silently scribbling and reading away the paperwork, it was already the late afternoon and you just finished the final work when Sage flew over to your hand and nudged you for pets. Smiling you petted her softly and stretched your back, you glanced over to your pouch and reached forward.
Opening the bag you glanced inside to find all sorts trinkets and random items. So you pulled them out one by one to examine them, there were edibles. A few pieces of candy and small chocolates, you smiled and decided to pocket them for you and Hunter to share. After that you found a few ash grey feathers and unique shapes of rocks and a small wood carving.
It was a small carving of sage...Noticing the faint outlines of your own palisman you turned and nudged her softly.
"Did you and Hooty bond when i was asleep and resting ?"
"..."
Grabbing a few candies and chocolates you walked over to Hunter's desk and placed them there while you walked over to his bed. You glanced at the sheet and slowly you sat down while being totally silent. You were glanced towards the door and then to the bed, it would be embarrassing if you were caught like this but...
You laid down and smiled again, the bed slightly smells like birch wood and strangely like burnt toast.
...this is how Hunter smells like...
Feeling your eyes grow heavier you couldn't help but snuggled into his bed and slowly lose your own consciousness.

"...you know...if you like my bed that much you could've told me"
Hearing Hunter's voice you immediately shot up and looked around, you could see him in his own pyjamas and sitting down at the edge of his bed just starring at you with a smirk.
"Looks like i caught you red handed"
He cheekily teased as you looked away in embarrassment,
"I was tired and your bed was closer to my desk so..."
Hunter laid by your side and you could hear him patting to the seat next to him, hesitating you laid back. Beside him you just made sure your eyes were on the ceiling the entire time. You could feel his red eyes just starring at you.
"I've heard that Hexide is holding into some Palismans so we're going over to get them for uncle."
"...we ?"
"Yeah, there's a whole bunch of them but they're all inside a carved wood case. I'll stir the air ballon ship while you can come with me to secure the palismans...it'll be a night operation since there wont be any students and faculty"
"...alright..."
"Why- you're not excited about this mission?"
"No its just-"
You turned your head to face him but stopped when you noticed Hunter just starring back at you in silence,
"...stop looking at me like that...please Hunter"
You could feel him sigh and turned around his back facing you. Smiling you leaned and place your palms onto his back appreciating his respect towards your request.
"I...I didn't expect us to go on a mission this recently, but I'm not disappointed that we're on this mission. It'll be just like last time"
Hunter didn't respond to you but nodded his head, you could tell he was getting sleepy. His chest was slowly going up and down, soon his breath started to go onto a steady even pace. You smiled and pulled the covers over and closed your eyes. Feeling yourself inviting sleep much more easier now.
