A/N: Hey all! Sorry this took so long, I was finishing another story that I needed to get done, it was going on too long. I put all my focus there so I could finish it fast, and I did! Now my other stories are my priorities, including this one! I hope you enjoy this chapter, and thanks for waiting!

You hated the dark, and you knew why. It wasn't necessarily the dark, rather what resided there that you couldn't see. However, having Tae next to you, as much as you didn't want to admit it, did help. It had you grinning and trying to hide it. Tae didn't notice, or if he did, he didn't say anything.

The two of you were still donning your uniforms from earlier, your heart thumping being this close to such an attractive man. Taehyung came a bit closer than you think he meant to, his hand brushing by yours as he spoke. "You seem nervous. Anything I can do?"

"Not much, Tae Tae," you said, giving him a grin you hoped eased his worries. He only furrowed his brows and came closer, his hand touching yours more. God dammit Y/n, don't blush you moron. "I'm okay, I promise."

"Are you scared of the dark?" he asked, motioning to the night sky and the empty streets ahead. This part of town was always quiet, but especially at night. It made walking home a pain in the ass because of it. Truthfully, you had a knife in your purse for whenever anyone tried to hurt you. So far, no one had even dared. But that could change at any moment, even now with Taehyung.

"Not really, more what could be in the dark, if that makes sense."

"A little. You're scared of people with bad intentions?"

"Who isn't?" you asked, snorting without meaning to. "People are either amazing or disgusting, there's no in between. More disgusting than anything else."

"What? People aren't that bad. How many people have you met?"

"Enough to know they're bad."

He peeked at you, slowing you down. You accepted it after a moment, strolling across the street with him. "I've seen a lot of people too. And some are bad, sure, but there's billions in the world. Not everyone's bad, not even half of them. I'd argue not even a quarter. It just seems like a lot because of that very thing: there's so many people."

"With all due respect Mr. Kim, you're a man."

"What does that mean?"

"It means you can walk home at night without feeling like you're being followed every couple seconds. Men have a lot of problems in society, obviously. They're taught to hide their emotions, to hide the truth. It sucks, and I'm sorry you have to go through that."

"Is there a but coming?"

"No, I was only gonna say that men's problems are different than women's. Men have a lot of emotional problems where they're taught what's 'right' and what's 'wrong' with emotions, when all your emotions are valid and meaningful. For women, we're taught we can't trust anyone from the second we're born." You froze, facing him and taking both of his hands without even thinking. "We're taught everyone is out to get us, because if we don't assume that, then we may get badly hurt. Not just a betrayal from a friend or something, I'm talking we might get..."

You trailed off and sighed, Tae brushing your hair out of your face. "Why'd you stop?" You peeped back up, knitting your brows together. He gave you a boxy smile that made your heart leap and flip in delight. "I want to hear everything you have to say, Y/n. It's how I'll learn."

"Learn what?"

"More about the fascinating woman named Y/n L/n."

The need to blush hit you hard, but you bit it back. "I highly doubt that. I'm a depressed university student with about as much personality as my cracked left toenail."
