These past two weeks had been amazing. Tae was working every day Y/n was, and after, he'd walk her home and they'd tell stories from their childhoods to each other. He learned a lot about her. Like she was afraid of the ocean because one time she almost drowned in it. She got wiped out by a wave, and ever since, she didn't dare go back. And she learned that Taehyung had a new interest: working out. He used to despise it, now he loved it a lot and wanted to do it more often. It made him feel good. Healthy, even. And after she learned about his story with appointments and doctors, she was ecstatic to learn about his progress.
Tae was with Jimin now, sipping on some hot chocolate while his friend was grinning and on the phone with his girlfriend. "Nooo, you hang up first," he said, giggling.
"No, you," his girlfriend replied, Jimin laughing and rubbing the phone with his baby fingers. Ugh. They were absolutely disgusting.
"Noo, babe, you hang up first." Jimin had his eye smile on his face, sighing happily. Then, he froze. "Babe?" He took the phone away from his ear. "Oh. She hung up."
Tae choked on his hot chocolate, gagging as his eyes teared up. "S-Shit, your girlfriend is a k-keeper," he said in-between coughs, dapping his lips with his napkin.
Jimin pouted and leaned back in his seat, glancing around the restaurant they were in. It was a casual place, one of those places made for the cooler times of the seasons. It wasn't cold by any means, but Tae still liked warm, comfort foods rather than the cold ones many were eating now - like ice cream.
Tae grinned at the thought of the ice cream parlor, his boxy smile coming out and not going unnoticed by the man across from him. "Thinking of her again?" Jimin asked.
"A little. Would it be a crime if I was? You're literally making kissy noises to your girlfriend every day."
"Hey! I miss her, that's not fair. You're over here staring off into the sunset for a woman you met a couple weeks ago. If anything, I'd say you're worse than my girl and me."
"I don't know... I haven't made out with Y/n in an alley and stripped her in front of my best friend."
"That was one time."
"Why did it happen at all?!" Tae asked, making his tone all dramatic because that was all him and Jimin did. Be dramatic and a little gay for each other. Despite that, Jimin chuckled, motioning for Tae to continue what they were talking about before. "I was thinking about her, yes. I'll admit she has her charms..."
"And a nice ass."
"And a nice ass."
Jimin leaned across the table and whacked his shoulder, Taehyung huffing at the action. "Listen bud, if you want to go for it, I'd say do it sooner rather than later." The edge in Jimin's voice had Tae plastering a smile on his face. Jimin observed it, very obviously seeing through it, but he didn't call him out on it. "Either do it soon or not at all, but that's just my advice."
"I value your advice a lot, I just never thought I'd have to worry about the fear of rejection, y'know? Out of everything in the world, women were always the easiest when you looked like you and me."
"Agreed. Sucks that there are attractive men out there who aren't like you and me."
"And what's that?" Tae asked, Jimin shrugging and slurping on his noodles before answering.
"Respectful. Even when women throw themselves at us, we don't use them or manipulate them. We're respectful. Sucks that so many assholes use their charms to just get what they want." As Jimin was poking and prodding at the noodles, Tae lit up in understanding, his jaw falling open.
