Ryumi's P.O.V.
I was woken up by something landing in my face. I opened my eyes to see that it was Taedo and the rest of the crows near me. I sat up and winced at the pain on my head. Come to think about it, what exactly happened yesterday? I brushed it off as this always happens to me whenever something bad had already happened. I don't exactly remember being in this cave yesterday. I don't even remember being near this cave at all. Someone must of brought me here but who exactly.
I quickly brushed it off and made my way out of the cave. I started to make my way towards the school. I felt my stomach rumble with hunger while walking. I decided to try and get something to eat before meeting up with everyone else. I looked around to hear my name being called. I turned around to see it was Mai that called out. I was confused as to why she called out for me but I didn't think too much on it.
"Ryumi, I'm so glad that I caught you. I wanted to give you something before you left." Mai said panting and trying to catch her breath. "I brought you some food as a token of your kindness when taking care of Yuki." She handed me a bag with multiple boxes in them.
"I got you some onigiri with some fish and chicken as well as dangos." She said to me with a smile. I just looked at the food and couldn't believe someone as kind as her would ever reward me with food.
"I couldn't possibly take it. It was only just a mission Mai." I said to her trying to give her the food back. As much as I was hungry, I couldn't accept this offer as people would start to hate her because she talked to me.
"Don't try to convince you're not hungry or that you don't want it. I'm not like everyone else who had treated you horribly. Now take the food and eat it." Mai said to me while demanding me to accept it. As I battled with myself, I had accepted defeat and took the food. She then smiled at me. "Now that that's done, I'll have to go back to the restaurant before my dad starts to yell at me. Also the boxes are plastic so you can throw everything away once you're done. I hope to see you soon Ryumi." At that she left while waving at me. I waved back at her.
This would have to be my first ever meal that someone had given me. I inhaled all the delicious scents that engulfed my nose. As I was about to open it until I felt someone creep up behind me. I slowly turned around and saw Sensei Miyoko was behind. As anyone would do, I jumped and fell down to the ground.
"Sensei!" I yelped.
"Sorry about that, I thought I'd be funny to scare you since I saw you from a few feet away." Miyoko Sensei said while laughing a little to himself. He saw what I had in my hands and was assuming who gave it to me. "Who gave you that?"
"Mai did. She gave it to me to thank me for helping her take care of her dog." I said to him but looking at my food because it just smelled so good.
"Well don't let me hold you up from eating your food. It was really sweet of her to do that." Miyoko Sensei said to me with a smile. "Let's sit down so you can eat your food." I nodded and followed him to a shade by the trees.
I sat down and started to open the food that Mai got me. As I took the first bite, I felt like I was in heaven. This taste so good. I didn't waste anytime and chow down on everything. I never had a great meal like this. I just so hungry I didn't stop eating. The onigiri were just flavorful with the sprinkle of sesame seeds and the fresh tuna. The perfectly seasoned salmon and chicken had melted my heart. It was just so perfect with each bite I took. Last thing was the dangos and I was mesmerized by the looks of them. They were perfectly shaped and the sauce made it ten times better than by itself. I couldn't help myself with this amazing food. The whole time I ate everything, Miyoko Sensei was just staring at me. Was I eating inappropriately? Was I embarrassing him in public? At that point, I was panicking a little.
