Chapter 27

Ryumi's P.O.V.

After Lee had performed his jutsu and caused a fatal blow on Gaara, it seemed that he wasn't fighting the real Gaara. Rock Lee was stunned and couldn't believe that his jutsu didn't work on him.

"Unbelievable." Kyosuke muttered under his breathe.

"How was he able to leave a sand clone behind? I saw him take him down." Okijiro said to us. Miyoko Sensei was also stunned by this outcome.

Behind Lee revealed the real Gaara. Gaara then let out an evil chuckled before commanding his sand to go after Lee. He tried to block it but he wasn't strong enough to block it. Gaara then caused a sand wave in which Lee couldn't dodge. He looked like he couldn't move all that well after that fatal blow from earlier. Gaara then made another attack which made Lee stumble and get caught up in the attack.

As Gaara casted his sand at him, Lee did his best to simply avoid it.

"Is he even going to make it at the end?" Kyosuke questioned Lee's ability.

"At this rate, I don't think he'll make it out of his jutsu. He's already injured enough." Miyoko Sensei replied to Kyosuke.

"He looks like he's about to give up. He should spare him the pity and just quit right now because he dies." Kyosuke said back to Miyoko Sensei.

"From what I'm familiar with, ninjas with a lot of determination will never crack under pressure and will continue to fight on even if they're on their last breath. With Lee, he seems like he wants to continue even though his body isn't letting him. ." Miyoko Sensei said and Kyosuke scoffed.

"Come on guys. Give him a break. I bet he'll win. Just take me as an example. You probably thought I would lose but turns out I actually won." Okijirio said to Kyosuke which made him roll his eyes.

"Whatever Oki." Kyosuke said before looking back at the fight.

As Gaara's sand were coming towards Lee, he quickly moved away in a blink of an eye. It seems that he's able to move fast even in those conditions.

After dodging the last attack, Lee came to a stop. He looked at Gaara with determination to win this round. As he continued to stare at him, something unusual happened. A gust of wind surrounded him and next we're his chakra.

"What is that?" I asked Miyoko Sensei. He pondered on my questioned before answering.

"I believe that jutsu is called the 8 Gates. I'm not to knowledge of this jutsu but from what it looks like, it's a powerful jutsu." Miyoko Sensei replied back to me.

I don't know how Rock Lee is doing this but after that jutsu, he became even faster than before. Lee punched Gaara up and kept him up there. He seemed to be kicking him around like a ping pong ball. He's truly incredible. With each punch, Gaara's armor seems to crumble. Lee gave Gaara one last hit before causing a rumble in the arena. The dust filled the arena for only a moment before it vanished.

"Did he do it?" Okijiro asked before uncovering his eyes from the dust. It seemed that before Gaara could make an impact, his sand made a last minute shield. "Unbelievable? I thought he finally did it."

"Is he ok?" I muttered to myself.

Gaara seemed to have some movement and directed his sand over towards Lee. He tried to move away but he failed. The sand engulfed both his left leg and arm.
