Caleb Pierce's pov
Lunch was over and we all headed our own way. Victoria went to chemistry, Grace went to Algebra and Austin went to gym. I fallowed behind Annabeth and Percy,  I watched as he hovered closely to her. I mean who does he think he is, he comes in here unannounced and then starts hitting all over my girl. I clench my fists like I'm going punch someone but I realized that there is no reason to start a fight.  All I have to do is show that I'm better than him.

We got the Greek class and he still hasn't left, so I decided to take things into my own hands. " So Percy... what class do you have now?" He looked up at me like I had 4 heads. "Umm... we're kind of standing in it!?" He made it sound like a question more than and answer so I kept my cool. I wasn't sure if he was tryign to mess with me or not.

I went to sit in my normal seat next to Annabeth but Percy beat me too it, so I took the one behind her. She didn't even say that it was my seat. I started to get angry again but Mrs. Taylor our Greek teacher snapped me out of it by clapping her hands to grab everyone's attention.

"Alright class this unit is going to be easier than the last but I need another day to get my planing in. So today is a study hall, do what you want but don't get too loud." She said turning her attention back to her computer.

I sat there all class period listening to Annabeth and Percy talk. Every once in a while their words made no sense to me but I just figured I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I drowned out their voices. I couldn't wait for this class to be over. Soon enough the bell rang and I was finally alone with Annabeth, we had AP chemistry while Percy had gym with Victoria and Grace. We got to class and I just had to ask Annabeth something with out Percy being around.

I walked over to her desk and put my stuff down on the desk next to hers before I turned to her. "So Annabeth, who exactly is Percy?" She looked at me for a moment before realizing what I was asking. "Percy's a childhood friend of mine. I'm sorry if I ignored you guys earlier Percy and I had something important to discuss." She said as she pulled her notes from her bag.

I felt relieved when she told me this. The rest of the day went by like a breeze, Annabeth and I worked on our chemistry project and then in Algebra all we did was take notes. I got home and the only thing that was on my mind was her, I took out a picture of us from sophomore year. I was wearing a dark blue shirt and jeans, she had the same old faded orange t-shirt on with denim shorts. I looked at the photo up and down trying to remember to good old days but something caught my eye.

On her left leg there was a massive bruise right below her shorts. It was just visible enough to see it poking out from the side of her leg. I continued looking for anything else out of the ordinary, I saw a bandage sticking out from under her shirt. I looked closer and saw that the bandage just covered her right shoulder and was stained with blood.

I didn't remember her saying anything about it but I guess she must have cut her self on a branch at her camp. Wait camp? I thought back to when Percy and Annabeth disappeared for a few minutes during Greek class and when they came back she had a small bandage around her wrist. My eyes widened as I realized what's happening, every time she went to that camp she would come back with some sort of injury. Then she said that Percy is from there as well, what if he's abusing her and using his over protectiveness as excuse to keep her quiet.

I quickly jumped off the bed and grabbed my phone. I dialed everyone's number all at once, hoping someone would answer. First it was Austin, then Victoria answered and finally Grace joined the call. "You guys are not going to believe what I just found out!" I said in a rushed voice.

"What?" They all yelled back. "This is going to sound really strange but I need you to hear me out." They all nodded waiting for me to continue. "So you remember when Annabeth introduced us to Percy? And you all could tell that I was not thrilled he was here? Well I think I found out something about him that he doesn't want anyone to know."

"We'll are you going to tell us or just keep rambling on." Victoria questioned me. "Alright, alright. I think Percy is abusing Annabeth. And before you say anything let me explain. I have a picture of use from sophomore year that was taken right after she came back from her camp. Right? Well I was looking at it today and I noticed her right shoulder was bandaged but you can see that it bleed through her shirt. And today they both disappeared during our greek class, and when they came back her wrist was bandaged. Not to mention she said he was a friend from camp, so I think he is using his overprotectiveness to keep her quiet." I finished explaining as I gasped for air.

"So let me get this right, you think Percy is abusing his best friend and making her stay quiet by being overprotective? Why would he do something like that?" Austin asked me. "So your on his side?" I said right back at him. "I'm on no one's side until I get proof. All I'm saying is why would he do something like that?" I thought for a moment before I pushed my boundaries.

"Your right I don't have proof but I'll get it. Then you guys can choose your sides and trust me it won't be his."

"Look Caleb I don't want to see anyone hurt especially a friend but if he is hurting her, then imagine what he could do to you so please be careful. If you need anything, come to us but don't do it on your own." We all agreed before hanging up and you better believe I won't stop until she's safe.
