A/N
Hey guys, typically I wouldn't put this at the top of a chapter but I figured this should be the first thing you read. I want to apologize for having you wait so long for this next chapter. I was planing on writing a lot sooner but some things came up. I had to study for exams and finals for school but then I had a really bad flare up. Here's something you don't know about me, I have a fainting disorder and I have been struggling with it. So here's some advice: no matter how hard life hurts you, you have to get up and keep trying because there is always someone who will stand by you in your darkest hour that will light your way. So please don't be stupid like me and reach out to the ones you care about or if that's not an option message me on here. So with that being said what is something that not many people know about you?

Now for the long over due update!!

Percy's pov
(The night of the attack)
I felt my anger start to rise as Caleb pushed his boundaries but I kept my cool. "Look I'm not sure what your problem is with me but I don't like how your treating me. I've done nothing to you!" I said as calm as I could. "You want to know what my problem is with you?" He said as I watched him shift his body weight and stepped forward pushing me backwards. He continued "My problem with you is that you pretend to be the good guy but all you are is a lying and an abusive person who doesn't care about the people around you!"

I felt myself start to slip into the anger I was trying to contain it. But flashes from over the summer danced in my eyes and before I knew it my fist clenched and hit the wall behind him. With a terrified look on his face he quickly turned on his heels and ran for the stairs, I was right behind him when I stopped dead in my tracks. I watched as he raced down the stairs grabbed his bag from the living room and race for the door. As I regained my senses I heard something I wish I hadn't and raced down to stairs searching for Annabeth.  "Annabeth were are you?" I yell with a very scared tone in my voice.

I started to panic when I couldn't find her until she walked out from behind the wall that led to the kitchen. She rushed to my side with a worried look plastered on her face. "Percy what's going on? Why are you yelling? And why did Caleb just run out my door?" She said with a confused tone. "I...I herd...roar...loud... worried...about you..." Annabeth cut me off and grabbed my face causing me to stair directly into her eyes.

"Percy English, I don't understand what your saying." I calmed down before speaking "I herd a loud roar and I got so worried something happened to you." As she opened her mouth to speak I herd a loud scream. Her eyes widened and face went pale. "Caleb!" She yelled as she raced for the front door but I quickly grabbed her hand and spun her around to face me. "Look calm down I got this. Go check on the boys and I'll handle Caleb." "Ok go." I raced out the front door just in time to see Caleb round the corner as he looked back. His faced was terrified and I wasn't sure why until I saw what was chasing him.

I leaped off to porch and immediately grabbed Riptide out of my back pants pocket and uncapped it. I turned the corner and came face to face with a hell hound that was a bit smaller than Mrs. O'Leary dig craws into Caleb's back. I searched around me to find something the throw but I came up empty. Caleb let out an ear piercing scream and I was pulled from my thoughts. With out thinking I jumped straight for the hell hound with my sword just grazing it's back leg turning it's attention to me. As the beast turned it's massive paws hit Caleb causing him to roll onto his back. I slashed my sword upward as I tried to avoid the hell hounds bite causing it to burst into golden dust as my sword slashed across it's neck.

I quickly regained my footing in time to turn and see Caleb start to doze off. I recapped riptide and immediately put pressure on his wounds. I knew I needed help because Caleb was no demigod but he was human and that means ambrosia and nectar could not help us in this situation. I turned and yelled " Annabeth I need help! Call 911." A moment later Annabeth came rushing around the corner with one of our emergency kits that we made just in case we were ever attacked by a monster at home. I quickly switched to Caleb's other side and continued to keep pressure on the bleeding wound underneath his mangled shirt.
