Annabeth's pov

My heart sank deep into my chest. I watched helplessly as Percy fell to the ground. The spot at which he lay started to turn red.

I tried fighting against the men that kept me restrained but with every attack I lost more and more sight of Percy. I managed to get my arm free. I took the chance to reach for dagger but I failed to see the man behind me. He jumped forward and helped the guy hold my arms down.

They quickly bound my hands together and put me in the back of an old chevy impala. The car jumped forward and took off.

My mind was racing but I didn't let that stop me from trying to figure out a way to get my hands free. I was too focused to realize the car had stopped. The trunk began to open and there was my chance.

I pushed my feet up on the trunk and kick it open. It flew open and hit guy that was opening it. He stumbled backwards but gave me enough time to jump out. As soon as my feet hit the ground I knew what I had gotten myself into.

At a quick glance I saw at least 12 other people staring at me. I searched around to find something to cut the duck tape off that tightly bound my hands or something to defend myself. All I found was a metal pipe that laid in the trunk of the car. I quickly grabbed and readied myself for a fight. A loud creaking sound
echoed throughout the garage.

I traced the sound to the back wall. The door swung open as a figure appeared in the doorway. It was nearly impossible to see who was standing there due to the sunlight that shined through the door. But I didn't need to see who was standing there because I already knew. I recognized the iridescent glimmer of the necklace that hung around the person's neck, unfortunately it belongs to Caleb.

"What's going on in here?" He said ad he walked through the door, "why is she here?"

One of men that was in the ally stepped forward "Things kind of went south. The boy was badly injured and we knew that we couldn't stick around so we grabbed her snd ran!"

"That wasn't the plan!" Caleb shouted, "All of you get out of my sight before I tell your boss!"

They all rushed out of the garage leaving me and Caleb. He went to walk towards me but I quickly backed up. He stopped and we made eye contact but all I wanted to do was find Percy.

"I'm sorry for the mess that those idiots caused. I can assure you that what happened was not part of plan all that was..." He stopped as I cut him off.

"Plan! There should have been no plan, you should've just left us alone!" I shouted at him.

"Annabeth please let me explain?" He said, " None of that was supposed to happen. They were just supposed to confront Percy and maybe ruffle him up a bit and leave. Thats it!"

"That's it! You have no idea what they've done. Percy is laying in an alley bleeding to death and all you want to do is talk! But I can tell this, if you're looking for forgiveness you won't be getting it from me and you sure as hell won't be getting it from Percy!" I yelled even louder.

I turned to find something to cut the duck tape off my hands.

"Here let me..."

"NO! You stay fuck away from me!" I grabbed my dagger and slowly began to cut tape. It took a moment but I eventually got it off. "Where are we?"

"Anderson's garage, off of Main Street." He answered.

I started to walk towards the door as Caleb tried to speak. "Where are you going?"

"To find Percy before its too late!"

"Why do you keep doing that?"

I turned to face him, "doing what?" I questioned him.
