Percy's pov

I hobbled out to my car which had a very confused and angry Annabeth leaning on it. When she saw me the only thing that was left on her face was worry.

She raced to my side "Percy what happened? I thought this was swim team tryouts not a sparring watch!"

"It was swim tryouts! But I ran into some trouble on the way out." I wheezed.

"What kind of trouble?" She questioned me as she opened the back of my car to get our emergency stash of nectar.

"One word!" She handed me the vile and I took a few sips, "Caleb!"

The pink in her face paled when she realized that my attacker was once her best friend. "He did this?" I nodded my head, "but how?" she continued.

"Caught me by surprise."

" I'm gonna need to have a few words with him!" I reached my hand up and placed it on her shoulder. She relaxed instantly,

"Don't worry about it. Lets just have a good day and spend some well deserved alone time!" I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her into a hug. She relaxed into my arms and mumbled something. Im pretty sure it was an 'I love you' but im not completely sure.

We separated and closed the hatch to the car. We made our way to the front seats. I turned on the car and drove off. The first 5 minutes were completely silent. I could see the gears turning in her head as she thought to herself.

She looked at me with a small smile on her lips "Percy! If you could go back in time and relieve your life would you change anything?"

I was silent, mostly because she caught me off guard. I let out a small sigh "Honestly, no! I wouldn't change anything!"

"Really? You wouldn't at least try and do anything different?" She asked me.

"Nope! Well I mean... there probably are a few things I would want to say sooner or a few different fighting techniques that I would like to do different but no! I wouldn't change a thing because all those events brought me closer to you and Im not sure I could live without knowing you!"

She blushed a bright red. I placed my on her and intertwined my fingers with hers. The last 30 minutes of our drive was silent but the good type of silent where your just enjoying each other's company.

I parked on side of the street and waited for cars to finish passing before I stepped out. The traffic stopped and I took the opportunity to jump out the car. I meet Annabeth on the sidewalk and started our evening walk through the golden gate park.

We walked for about an hour before I convinced Annabeth to get ice cream. There was and amazing ice cream parlor just a few blocks away. We walked in silence as we lightly swung our arms to the rhythm of our walk.

When we arrived at the ice cream parlor there was a small line formed. We waited for our turn but but time quickly passed.

"What can I get you miss?" The guy behind the counter asked Annabeth."

"Ill have two scoops of the cookies n' cream with a waffle cone."

"Alright! And you sir?"

I stepped forward, there were so many choices to choose from. "Ill have a waffle cone as well but can I get two scoops of blue moon instead?"

The guy nodded and scooped both of our ice creams pretty fast. He handed them to us before we walked to check out. The lady at the cash register greeted us with a smile.

"That will be $8.50." Annabeth pulled out a $10 and haded it to her. She grabbed the money from Annabeth and rummaged through the change drawer, counting out our change.
