Annabeth's Pov
Percy buried his head into the crook of my neck. My shirt was defiantly going to have tear stains on it but I wasn't worried about it. His arms tightened around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
What ever space that was between us was gone. My hands traced circles on his back in hopes of calming his nerves. His breathing was fast and shaky but it was starting to slow. He mumbled under his breathe a few times but I could never clearly catch what he was saying.
My eyes wondered around the room. A few officers stood around us with their weapons drawn and ready. The rest of the officers walked in circles around the room, they were taking statements and analyzing anything that could give them a hint to what just happened.
The room was filled with watchful and weary eyes. It was a little unsettling but when you're a demigod your life is always unsettling. I continued to look around the garage but the tightening around my waist brought my attention back on Percy. He was still shaking but his breath had slowed to a normal rate.
"Percy as mush as I love you, I do not appreciate being squeezed to death!" He loosened his grip and pulled back just a little so that I could gaze upon his face. His eyes were calm and his face was relaxed. However, his eyebrow twitched every few seconds and his eyes would dart around the room before settling back on me. A smile started to pull at his lips when his eyes meet mine.
"Right, sorry! I just don't want to lose you again. I can't lose you again because if I do I might not be able to live." His smile began to fade and his eyes started to pool with sadness. I reached up and rubbed my finger across his check.
"You won't lose me because I'm not going anywhere."
The sound of clattering metal sounded through the garage followed by 'I'm sorry' from the officer that had tripped into a cart spilling the tools on the floor. It caught Percy's attention, he watched the officer scramble to pick up the tools before pulling me closer to him.
I could feel his breath on my neck as he whispered in my ear "Incoming 6 o'clock".
My arms slowly slide off of Percy's waist and laid to rest at my sides. I turned around only to have a wave of dread wash over me. The captain was swiftly walking towards us with two officers tailing him. I held my breath as the captain got closer and closer.
"So I got good news and bad news. Which would you like first?"
"Uhhh..." I looked to Percy for an answer but he just shrugged, "I guess the good news?"
"Good choice. Anyways, we managed to talk Mr. Pierce and he agreed not to press charges but he does want a restraining order against you." He turned to face me, "However, he will only stick to his word as long as you have a wellness check."
I felt my face start to burn. I no longer had that feeling of dread but instead I felt anger flare inside me. My hands started to tighten into fists. I caught Percy's eye just before he reached his hands up to my shoulders. He slowly began to rub circles on my shoulders which helped in relaxing me.
"Hey, relax. Just breathe, in and out. In and out." I followed his words as he continues to rub his hands on my shoulders. "All good?" he asked me. I gave his a slight nod as he removed his hands from my shoulders.
"A wellness check?" I questioned the captain, "Why would he want me to have a wellness check?"
"It's because he believes that I have hurt you and that I use my over protectiveness to keep you quiet." Percy quickly responded.
"How could you possibly know that?" The captain looked right at Percy.
"He told me that I need to stay away from Annabeth because of that. Not to mention he has confronted me about it but I civilly told him that he was crazy and by the looks of today I'm right."
"Regardless of what has happened in the past I just want you to know that he his willing to make the deal as long as you submit to a wellness check." I crossed my arms and huffed. How could Caleb request something like the from me! Especially if he's threatening to press charges against Percy If I don't comply.
"Fine! But he is not allowed to see any of the results nor do I want him anywhere near me!" I was putting my foot down. If I was going to do a wellness check because Caleb thinks he has a right to push that on me, then he has another thing coming. I watched the two cops behind the captain look at each other and shrug. "That's my final answer. Now what's the bad news?"
"I'm only saying this because your girl friend scares the hell out of me but with all do respect Mr. Jackson I have to place you under arrest for attempt of murder and assault. So if you could please put your hands behind your back and turn around?" The captain stated with a much sterner voice than before.
I was completely flabbergasted. I wanted to protest but I just couldn't form any kind of sound or words. All I could do was step in front of Percy with my arms stretched out.
"Wait!" I finally broke the silence, "You can't do that!"
"Ms. Chase I don't suppose you're trying to resist arrest for your boyfriend because if you are I'm going to have to arrest you as well!" He questioned me. HIs eyes were a little intimidating but that wasn't as intimidating having all 12 of the olympian gods stair down upon you.
"No! That's not what I mean! What I mean is no you can't put handcuffs on him unless you want another repeat of this incedent. Not to mention I have to go with him and I can also give you my statement as promised."
The captain wasn't quick to respond. I could tell he was debating on what to do. He was defiantly struggling with a decision, sweat started to bead on his forehead while his fingers rubbed back and forth across the metal on the hand cuffs. But that wasn't all, he kept shifting on his feet before he finally sighed.
"Fine! But if he moves an inch out of line I will make him wear these handcuffs! Do you understand me?" We nodded. "Good because I'm going to have a late enough night as it is! I don't need another problem to deal with. Between you three and my wife roasting me about being late I don't need any more stress!"
Percy was rushed into the backseat of the cop car while I was put upfront. I wasn't very happy about the situation but I just bit my tongue. I didn't want to put any more stress on the captain than he already had so I just sat back and watched the buildings pass by. All I could think about was how I was going to make sure Caleb knows he has messed with the wrong person!

I think it's been a month or maybe a little longer but I have delivered even though this is one of my shorter chapter but it's something. Between college, writers block and a few personal issues I have finally finished this chapter. I was going to do a double chatter but I just decided one for now but maybe in the future.
On another note. I said last chapter I was going to post this on Ao3 for anyone else who prefers that platform. It will Probably be under the name CrypticF0x_904 or I'll create another about using this accounts name.
Lastly I have a few more ideas I want to write about but if any of you want me to write a suggestion I will but for now enjoy!
