Kristen woke up on bills chest. He was already awake, smiling lovingly at her.
"We gotta do that fucking monologue today." He moaned.
"Stupid fucking monologue." Kristen grinned. Bill brushed the hair out of her face and kissed her forehead.
"Wanna go?" He asked.
"I wish I could stay here forever." She whined hugging him closely. He smiled.
"C'mon." He scooped her up, flipped her over his shoulder but didn't exactly have the strength the get the two of them off the bed. When Kristen realized this, she busted out in hysterical laughter. She fell back down on the bed, Bill hovering over her. She ran her fingers trough his hair and kissed him. He kissed her back, lowering his body on top of her, only two layers between them. They kissed for a while.
"I'm going to call Maggie today." Bill laid back down, allowing Kristen on his chest.
"Bill..." she whispered
"I have to, it's what I'm willing to do. Not many people end up with the one they love AND the one they're supposed to be with, I have the chance for that and I'm taking it." He said seriously. Kristen nodded.
"I guess we can go now." She smiled kissing him on the cheek.
They grabbed their things and walked to studio 8h. It was so hard on both of them to not be able to hold hands.
"Kristen, Bill! Ready to rehearse that monologue?" Lorne smiled. Bill nodded intensely.
"I even thought of a song!" He said.
"Really?" Lorne and Kristen said together.
"Yep! Come on Eileen by dexys midnight runners!" Bill grinned.
"Oh I listened to that song when I was young." Lorne chuckled.
"Yeah I was thinking Kristen could,ya know like coach me through it and then at the end the whole cast could come out and sing and dance!" He explained.
"That sounds awesome!" Kristen nodded.
"I'll get the choreographers to work on a dance with everyone." Lorne said.
"Thank you!Can we go write it?" Bill asked. Lorne nodded before the two of them went into the monologue room and started writing on the cue cards.
"So I'll talk about coming back and stuff and then talk about the skeleton twins, then you'll come on." He said vigorously writing. Kristen smiled at him; messy hair, pajamas, basically sprawled out all over the place. She really did love him, and it was amazing to be able to express that.
"Alright, the beginning of the song is intense violin so that's when you should tell me that we're singing and stuff." Bill pushed the cards and sharpies over to Kristen so she could write what she wanted to say. She began writing and Bill began staring.

An hour later they had all the cards ready and were completely ready to rehearse. They walked out of the office and into the audience to watch the dance. Everyone was sweaty but laughing and having a great time.
"Hey guys." Kristen smiled when the music stopped. Everyone smiled and walked over.
"Ready for this?" Bill asked.
"Are YOU ready for this?" Aidy pumped her fist.
"YEAH!" Everyone cheered through laughter. Kristen and Bill smiled at each other.
"Hey guys." Bobby grinned. Bill rolled his eyes.
"Alright! Let's rehearse!" He clapped his hands.
Everyone got into their places and Bill walked onto the stage. Taran and Aidy fake applauded from the wings.
"hey every I'm so excited to be here tonight!" Bill began to rehearse the beginning of his monologue. Then he got to the part where Kristen came on.
"Kristen you were supposed to stay backstage!" He cried.
"I don't recall that cue music!-now, you're going to sing tonight, it's your dream. I already picked the song, so just read the lyrics. I've got the first card!" Kristen pointed to the cards and then belted out the first one perfectly. Bill smiled and then remembered he had to sing the second one.
"Our mothers cried,Sang along,Who'd blame them? You've grown, so grown! Now I must say more than ever!" Bill imitated the voice of the guy who sings it and actually sounded spectacular.
"NOW WE'LL SING JUST LIKE OUR FATHERS!" Bill and Kristen belted out, grabbing hold of each other's hands. Taran and Bobby whooped from the back. Kristen sang the first couple lines of the chorus with him until he spun her around and sang directly to her.
"At this moment, you mean everything! You in that dress, oh my thoughts I confess! Verge on dirty, oh, come on Eileen!" He smirked.
"YO!" Kenan cried from backstage. Kristen and Bill chuckled lightly before launching into the next verse. During the last chorus everybody ran out behind them dancing like crazy, Kenan, Taran and Bobby lifting girls into the air and twirling around. It was insane, but somehow the two of then felt right at home.
At the end of the song, there's a kick line so Bill,Kristen and everyone else formed a very uniform line. But the moment everyone started kicking it got screwed up really bad. People were kicking each other's legs and either going too high or too low. Once everybody realized that they started doubling over laughed, some still attempted at kicking but the line was far too gone. The sound guy stopped the music and the only sound left was the sound of shrieking laughter. Aidy and Kate held each other to keep from falling over. Kristen just wrapped her arms around Bill and cried of laughter.
It was a truly glorious moment of happiness that the new cast members seemed to have touch with over the years. It could've been Bill and Kristen there, it could've just been everyone was tired of the dullness. But something was different, and it was amazing.
"OKAY! Okay! I guess we should review this again!" The choreographer ran onstage. The laughter only died down a little before everyone finally pulled themselves togethers. She reviewed the kick line for about ten minutes and after an hour they all finally got it.
"Alright! So we've covered the cold open, and the monologue. After the monologue, we'll air baby love so everybody will have time to change for Hollywood game night, let's run that." Lorne said. All the actors for Hollywood game night trudged over to the set.
"Have fun kids." Bobby purred in Kristen and Bills ears. Kristen shrieked and then laughed along with Bill.
"Thanks Bobby." She grinned. The two of them collapsed on the leather couch provided for the set. She leaned into him as he slung her arm around her. Taran sat down on the couch.
"Hey guys." He sighed.
"Hey." Bill and Kristen said together.
"Everything okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm good...tired I guess..." He said.
"How's the family?" Bill asked remembering he had to call Maggie that day.
"That's the thing, I feel like I'm not being good enough for Colbie." Taran expressed miserably. Kristen sighed wanting to say that being in love with Kate won't help. Then she wondered if maybe that's how Bill felt. Maybe, because you can't really be with one person if you love someone else.
"Taran, don't beat yourself up about it. She's got a career, you've got an even more stressful and crazy career. It isn't really your fault, you're living man, ya know?" Bill said giving him a reassuring rub on the back.
"Do you-" taran was interrupted by the sound of Lorne yelling 'Action!'
"Talk later." Kristen whispered before Kate introduced the Hollywood game night. It all ran smoothly, they ran the whole show after that and then Lorne called a 30 minute break.
"I have to go call Maggie." Bill whispered. Kristen got terrified, but nodded. He went inside the hosts room and she sat with her knees to her chest outside. Kate came over and sat next to her.
"It's going to be okay." She said. Kristen jumped and then smiled at the sight of her old friend.
"Hey."
"You know people have been comparing me to you? Like I'm the next you!!! I don't know if you've been hearing that shit but...trust me,you'll never be replaced." Kate blurted. Her brutal kind honesty built Kristen up immensely.
"Thanks Kate, but honestly I need someone to take over for me, you're great! Like really genuinely funny." She said untucking her feet and lining them up with Kate's.
"It's not easy." She said.
"Tell me about it." Kristen laughed. "But nothing that's worth it is."
"You could be referring to comedy or a person." Kate remarked nodding behind them at the hosts room.
"Both I guess." Kristen sighed.
"Did something happen?"Kate asked.
"Something would be an understatement." Kristen chuckled.
"You don't have to tell me anything, I really get it."
"Kate?" Kristen whispered. She nodded. "Do you ever feel like you're completely responsible for the destruction of a human beings heart?"
"Yeah..." Kate whispered. "You're not alone."
Then she just rested her head on Kristen's shoulder. It was simple, but comforting. They sat there in a beautiful comforting silence for about ten minutes until Bill opened the door. Kate shot up and ran god knows where. Kristen stood up and looked at him, going into his office. His eyes were bloodshot and he looked sad beyond belief.
"What happened?" Kristen whispered.
"She knew." His voice cracked a little. "She said when I came she was going to talk to me, she said she wanted me to be happy and didn't want to hold me back from who I really wanted."
A tear rolled down Bills cheek and Kristen wrapped her arms around his waist.
"You never did anything wrong Bill. She understands, she's letting you go." She hushed.
"I wanted her to scream and get angry with me and call me whatever names, I..." His voice shook slightly. She held on tighter.
"We will get through this." Kristen spoke slowly.
"I love you Kris, I'm so lucky I have you." Bill whispered. She tensed in fear that he was going to say he was going to leave and be with Maggie, but he didn't he just kissed her head and hugged her tighter.
"I love you too." She said.
