The Ambassador said the Ardiaean kingdom was responsible for the pirates in the Adriatic sea, the attacks of Messenia and Elis that killed thousands of Greeks and Romans. There would be consequences.

Pinnes did not understand. How could someone who held him at night when he was scared, sang to him when he was sick, taught him everything he needed to know about being a king be the culprit of those crimes?

They must have lied.

Pinnes looked back at the queen regent who sat behind him. Her nod put his heart at ease. Mother would take care of everything.
