The next few days went by pretty fast and before I knew it was the day before me and jaden went back home
It's currently 10:37 pm and we were all on the back porch
I was sitting on the grass playing with the kittens while everyone else sat in front of the small fire John had made
"Nessa honey come over here please I have a surprise for you" Amy said signaling to the chair in between her and jaden
I got up and before I could get to the chair Sophie sat down in it
"Oh I didn't know you were gonna sit here looks like you'll have to go somewhere else" she said giving me a fake smile
"Babe come sit in my lap with me" jaden said getting up and picking me up
We sat down and got situated when Amy cleared her throat
"So we were thinking.. and we aren't gonna be able to keep the kittens since the girls are moving out soon and me and John are working a lot so we are gonna put them up for adoption" she said setting down her drink
But before I could say anything back
" but if it's ok with your dad we want you to take as many as you would like home" she said giving me a big smile
My face lit up
"Wait really" I said jumping up
She nodded
"I'm gonna go get my phone from upstairs and call my dad" I said smiling even bigger and running upstairs
On the phone
Hey dad I have a question
What is it
Can I get some of Amy's kittens she said I could take as many as I would like I just had to ask you
He stayed silent a minute
Yes but you'll be taking care of it and paying for most of its stuff

Two max ness I gotta go now love you

End of call
I ran back downstairs and back outside
"He said yes!" I said running over to the kittens
I picked them all up
"Although I would love to bring all of you home I can only bring two of you" I said doing pouty lips at them
" Jae can you come over here" I said putting them down
He walked over and sat beside me
"I'm gonna take this one home" I said grabbing my favorite kitten "since we live together I want you to pick one" I said smiling down at the kittens
He picked up his favorite one
"This one" he said picking up the biggest one
We all talked for a little longer and we headed to bed
The next day
I woke up to the faint sounds of an alarm
I woke up to see Jaden struggling to turn it off
"Give it to me" I said laughing at his many failed attempts
I grabbed it and almost immediately shut it off
