Monday morning came and I woke up a pool of nerves. I put on my new unfamiliar uniform and made my way downstairs where my mother was making breakfast.

"How do you feel?" She asked dumping food onto my plate.

"Nervous." I answered honestly.

"There's no need for that. You're the brightest girl I know." I didn't tell her it wasn't the academics i was nervous about.

Ethan came in with a yawn in a matching uniform to me which was weird to see, we hadn't gone to the same school since we had been in primary school back home.

Here we would walk the same halls go to the same classes, the only difference being I would wear a skirt and he would wear trousers.

Because it was our first day dad drove us to school. We'll be taking the school bus home and to school every other morning. He dropped us off at the front gate with wishes of good luck and went off to his first day of work.

There was hardly anyone there. We had been asked to arrive half an hour early to speak with our tutor. She was waiting at the front door for us.

"Ethan and Olivia?" She asked in a cheery voice with a smile as we walked up to the door.

We nodded.

"Brilliant!" She said as if it really was brilliant to see us, "follow me, I'll show you my class room first, you'll have to come there every morning for registration which is the first 15 minutes of your day!" She seemed excited about everything. We followed her through the halls and she pointed out everything we passed. This was a bigger school than the one I left behind. I was definitely going to get lost.

Once we got to her class room we saw it was an art room and it had been decorated with pieces of artwork from many students. It was very fitting to her personality.

"Ok so I've got two timetables here!" She said going behind her desk, "it's so exciting having twins in my class!" Ethan and I exchanged a look.

"Ethan it looks like you'll be joining me in art! Olivia I wish we could have seen you there!" No you don't, I think, while Ethan is artistic my art skills leave much to be desired. I just smile at her.

She hands us our timetables. "I've managed to pair you both with someone in the class who does the same selection of subjects as you to show you around the school make sure you get to all your classes ok!"

"Great. Thank you." Ethan said and we went and took a seat to compare our timetables.

We didn't have a lot of classes together. Just English, French and Religious Education.

"So much for going to the same school!" I said, "I don't even see you on a Wednesday!"

"You going to miss me?" Ethan teased.

"As if!"

The rest of the pupils started to trickle in. Some of them paid us no attention. Some of them gave us curious looks. None of them talked to us. Until Aaron walked in.

"Olivia! Ethan!" He says joining us at our table that the rest of the pupils had been avoiding, "what are the odds you end up in our class?"

"Who else is in this class?" Ethan asked.

"Out of the ones you met on Saturday?" Aaron thinks, "just Joe and James." Speaking of Joe he walks in and sits next to Aaron. I don't think I saw him standing up in the youth centre. He's massively tall but he pulls it off.

The teacher sees the four of us sitting at a table and comes over with a big smile, "just who I wanted to speak to! Aaron, Joe, this is Ethan and Olivia Murphy, they're twins who are new and come all the way from Belfast, Ireland so will need a little help getting around the school. Their timetables are the exact same as yours. Aaron your timetable is the same as Ethan's so if you could spend a few days bringing him to class just until he knows where everything is that would be great. Joe same with Olivia."  She smiled at us all as James came in.
